1 Employee Self-Service Employee Self-Service provides a means for an employee (staff, faculty or student worker) to view their personal information that is stored in Banner HR through the web. An employee s Z number and a PIN are required to log-on to Employee Self-Service. If you need a PIN reset, please see the following offices: Faculty and Staff PIN reset: Call HR at 4383 TES PIN reset: Call Payroll at 4384 Student PIN reset: Call Student Records at 4235 Once you have logged on to Employee Self-Service, you can change your PIN number after it has been reset. This is highly recommended. In order to preserve the privacy of you employee information, please remember to always log-off your Employee Self- Service session. This manual provides some screen snapshots of what employee self-service looks like. Not all web pages from Employee Self-Service are contained in this document. Certain web pages were selected to display certain features. Biographic and demographic data can be viewed from the Personal tab. Employee information can be viewed from the Employee tab. To access Employee Self-Service, open up a browser page and go to Richard Stockton College s home page at: Click on Faculty and Staff Services to access Employee Self-Service Click on either Web for Finance and INB or Web for Employees. Both links will allow you to access Employee Self-Service. 1

7 7 Use these two tabs to display your personal and employee information.

8 Click on Personal information to view your name, address and emergency contact information. If you need any changes made to your information, please contact the HR office. You can change your PIN number on this page. If your PIN has recently been reset, it is strongly recommended that you change it. 8

10 Employee Tab Click on the Employee tab to bring up information regarding your earnings, deductions, jobs and pay stubs. Screens that display year-to-date information can be changed by entering a new date range to give more flexibility in displaying monthly, quarterly or yearly information. Note that not all of the pages available under the Employee Tab are displayed in this document. The following pages are selected to give an example of the kinds of information available in Employee Self-Service. 10

13 Select a date range or leave as is which defaults to the current calendar year. 13

14 Note the date range selected. Click on an earning code to display monthly totals. 14

15 To view gross pay for a selected earnings code, double click on the earnings code and the View Earnings Detail page will display with earnings broken down by month for the date range selected. The date range defaults to the current calendar year. You can choose another calendar year by selecting a new date range. Deductions can also be viewed in this manner where totals are displayed and then by clicking on a particular deduction, monthly employee and employer totals are displayed. Examples of these pages are displayed below. 15

17 Keep the default date range which is the current calendar year or select a new range. 17

21 Deduction with both employee deductions and employer benefits displayed for the current calendar year or a year that is selected by you. If no employer benefits or contributions are present, zeroes will display. 21

24 Select Pay Information and then Pay Stub to view your pay stubs from the current year or previous years of HR data stored in Banner. To view pay stubs from HRS for from year 2004 and prior, use the old Web for Employees link. 24

27 Available Beginning Balance: Balance available at the beginning of the calendar year or the fiscal year for managers. This is the balance that is carried over from the previous calendar year. Earned time: Time that is accrued or given to you in January or July for managers. Taken time: Time that has been taken for the calendar year or fiscal year for managers. Available balance: Time balance that is available from the end of the last pay period. Leave balances are recalculated and updated each payroll cycle. 27
