1 Communications Manager Gerente de Comunicação Department Departamento Immediate Superior Superior Imediato Communications Manager Chief Advancement Officer Primary Purpose of the Position Principal propósito da Vaga The Communications Manager reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and plays a key role in supporting institutional fundraising initiatives and managing and executing the school s internal and external communications. Create and implement an annual and long -term strategic plan for the institution s internal and external communications. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Principais Funções e Responsabilidades Work with the Chief Advancement Officer to ensure that key messages are aligned and strategically communicated. Understand and engage in all aspects of school life to ensure the promotion, communication, and advancement of the school s strategic plan, mission, and vision. Write, edit, and proofread internal and external communications materials, including publications, monthly school newsletter, website text,

2 communications, daily social media posts, and wayfinding signage. Create and manage social media calendar. Oversee and maintain content on the school s website. Work in close collaboration and partnership with other members of the Advancement Department including the Visual Communications Specialist, Senior Development Director, and Alumni Relations/Centennial Celebration Manager to create effective, compelling messaging and materials and and maximize fundraising. Work with the Senior Leadership Team to promote a consistent approach to communications. Monitor and ensure compliance with Graded s Style Guide and Brand Book. Collaborate with Director of Admissions and other administrators, in collaboration with the Visual Communications Specialist, to create publications and electronic materials. Collaborate with Visual Communications Specialist on annual report, faculty recruitment brochure, Admissions viewbook, Centennial Campaign brochure, advertisement placement and content, presentations, and other materials.

3 Conduct public relations, strengthening the school s brand. Certifications and Education Certificados e Diplomas Completed college degree or higher. BA/MA degree in liberal arts major, English, communications. marketing, or a related discipline. Desired / Desejáveis Required / Necessários 5-7 years of communications, journalism, or marketing experience. Proven track record executing English language communications/public relations campaigns. Experience Experiência Experienced English writer and editor. Experience with social media including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. 4 Demonstrated success working in an internationally- and linguistically-diverse school setting. Experience living or studying abroad. Exemplary verbal and written English communication skills.
