With a shortfall of 7% in trainee teacher recruitment forecasted for September 2015, which is the third shortfall in a row, a teacher training shortage is causing many schools to recruit from overseas. Schools cannot afford to have untrained teachers in key subjects such as Maths, Physics or modern languages as this may negatively affect their levels and standards of teaching.
