3 THE WINE SOCIETY JOB DESCRIPTION Job title: Warehouse Team Member Housekeeping (FLT) Department: Operations/Warehousing Reports to: Warehouse Co-ordinator/Assistant Warehouse Manager Responsible for: Production/Warehousing Job purpose: The job at The Wine Society exists in order to supply wine and other commodities to the membership. The department is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, picking and supply of the wines and related products offered to the membership. Subject to competence (e.g. FLT licence), all team members are expected to be fully flexible across the range of activities. Main duties: The job holder will carry out any reasonable task he or she is asked to do, having had adequate training in the skills needed to accomplish the job as described. This may include: Accountable for all aspects of housekeeping across all warehouses Creation of daily/weekly/monthly/annual cleaning schedule and delivery to that schedule Sortation of recyclable waste Emptying cages/bins and loading of waste into appropriate containers (e.g. compactors) Sweeping and cleaning of all warehouses Training of temp staff on baling machine Emptying of cardboard baling machine

4 Additional FLT (counterbalance and PPT) daily duties may include: Unloading packaging lorries in Goods In Loading Wine Society trunker, collecting couriers and parcel carriers (e.g. FedEx/APC) Loading pallet wrapper and wrapping pallets Additional duties: Assist with inductions and give limited supervision to new starters/temporary staff Signing for duty paid goods Assisting maintenance Main Accountabilities: Warehouse team members participate in a group incentive scheme to enable early finishes in a Job and Finish agreement. Whilst it is important that individual output is in line with the group, it is equally important that quality and safety are not sacrificed for speed. Be available for training that may be required to carry out certain tasks. Be familiar with safety, fire and security requirements and know what to do in the event of emergency, including feedback to Team Leaders (particularly near misses). Health & Safety: All staff have a responsibility for carrying out their work in a safe manner, reporting any incidents or problems to the Team Leader and taking all reasonable steps to minimise risk to both self and others. Variation: The Society reserves the right to make reasonable variations or amendments to the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of the business.
