We are inviting employers from the health and community services sector within DATSIP s SEQ North Region (Gympie, Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Somerset, Brisbane and Redlands) to express interest in employing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people through traineeships. This project will be facilitated by DATSIP, SEQ North Region through the Youth Employment Program in partnership with the Health and Community Services Workforce Council. This project is driven by the success of previous, similar and ongoing projects (please see case study attached). DATSIP, SEQ North Region will source suitable candidates. They will assist the candidates with applications and offer both pre and post placement support. The Workforce Council has identified a list of suitable qualifications meeting skills in demand for relevant regions, as well as potential AASN s and Registered Training Organisations to support the qualifications. DATSIP, SEQ North Region and Workforce Council staff will meet with employers to clarify any traineeship obligations.
