4 Update on Competency Management Project Plan established September 2010, with a number of milestones including: 1. Determining Rail Safety Work within ARTC Completed 2. 7 Development of a Procedure Underpinned by ARTC SMS Final ARTC Worker Competence and Identification Procedure being drafted Will also provide links to the Signals and Engineering functions and their requirements Will Identify such aspects as: ARTC Business Rules eg Identification Training, assessment, recertification requirements Medical requirements and associated providers ARTC minimum competence criteria, and associated requirements for each functional category Process for obtaining a card, re-issue of card etc 22 March 2011 Rail Safety Worker Competency Project 7

10 In the meantime, ARTC Identification Compliance Flow Chart START: Do you currently perform RSW work in one of ARTC s Functional Categories? Do you require access to ARTC s Network to perform RSW in one of ARTC s Functional Categories for the first time? Do you work in Signalling? Please follow the Current Signals Processes. EST Do you hold a current, CoC that does not expire before June issued by an Authorised RTO or an Accredited Rail Transport Operator? Do you have a current COC that expires before 30 June 2010 issued by an Authorised RTO or an Accredited Rail Transport Operator? Please follow the entire process for obtaining an Interim Certificate of Competence as outlined in this Proceedure No further action required at this stage.
