VACATION CASH OUTS FOR CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES According to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article 47 Section 17, employees have the opportunity to elect a cash-out of up to forty (40) hours of vacation leave of each year. The university s chief human resource officer or designees will notify employees of this opportunity in November. To request this cash-out, employees must submit the appropriate university form during the month of December requesting the cash-out. The form can be found on the OSCAR website under Employee Access. It is titled Vacation Cash Out. The employee will need to complete the Employee section and sign the form. All other sections will be completed by AABC. The forms are due to AABC no later than December 31 st. The payouts will be in the employee s pay that they receive on January 31 st. Each employee must have a minimum of eighty (80) hours of accrued vacation leave remaining after the cash-out. After all the requests are reviewed for accuracy, AABC HR staff will provide a detailed spreadsheet to the budget authority in each unit we serve. This will inform them of the impact these payouts will have on their budgets. IS YOUR ADDRESS CORRECT?
