4 Phase 2: Probation Supervision Process Objectives: Examine services for AB l 09 and non-ab l 09 probationers c Use of best-practices, including EPICS c Caseloads and case management c Referrals for programs and services c Use of compliance checks and flash incarcerations Methods: c Qualitative interviews and focus groups with: Probation leadership Probation supervisors and DPOs Individuals under probation supervision c Quantitative analysis of EBP fidelity records, caseload, and meetings between DPOs and clients Phase 3: Recidivism Analysis Objectives: Examine recidivism outcomes for AB 1 09 population and address limitations from Year 1 Cl Controlling for individual factors IJ Examine longer term (2-year) recidivism rates IJ Utilize 730 day follow-up period controlling for time spent in custody IJ Addition of 1 l 70(h) jail-only recidivism outcomes Methods: c Quantitative analysis of criminal histories for MS, PRCS, and 1 l 70(h) jail only individuals 4
