2 Stage 1: First Draft Submission Writing Organization Profile Each group have to submit the Organization Profile to MRC on SET DATE according each Option (I, II, III) Each group have to submit 6 main points 1. Organization/Company Background 2. Department/Section/Unit of Internship 3. Position 4. Job Description 5. Job Responsibilities 6. Working Schedules 1. Organization /Company Background - Background of the organization/ company include name, history, recognition (registration) - Types of the organization/company - location/address, contact, employer and number of employees, products or services of the company, partnership, lengths of operation, etc. - You also state your organization s Vision, Mission, Goal and Organization Structure, Department Structure. 2

3 2. Department/Unit/Section - You have to write clearly about which department, unit or section you work in. e.g., Intern works in Accounting Department of ACLEDA Bank. This department contains 5 staff working in. - You also place the department, unit or section structure (chart) 3. Position - What is your Internship position? - Choose only a position e.g., In the Accounting Department, Intern works as assistant to accountant. 3

Job Description - You have to describe in details about your position s job. e.g., During internship in Accounting Department of ACLEDA Bank, Intern responds to provide internal receipt to all staffs for payment and check all receipts to clarify the amount of money record all receipt that company come to registration, Taxation, Tutoring & Training. (other information) 4. Job Responsibility - You have to specify only your responsibilities of position. e.g., there are several main responsibilities that Intern has to do such as: Prepare and check the report. Receive and check the cash receipt, invoice. Copies document ( Document that related the money transfer to pay taxation) Prepare document as declaration taxation from other company to IAS (data taxation the same invoice or receipt). Prepare the expense document & Revenue document. Prepare the monthly annual taxes. Count money for salary every month (For all staff and workers). Record Report to manager daily and monthly. 4

5 6. Working Schedule Working Schedule - Write a paragraph to describe your internship schedule. You have to tell Morning clearly when your internship starts and finishes, days of working, hour per day/week. Clarify about total hours of whole 6:00-7:00 AM X internship. Time Mon Tue Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun 7:00-8:00 AM X - You have to place a table of your schedule 9:00-10:00 AM X Total Hours X Chapter I Introduction 1.1 Organization /Company Profile - Background of the organization/ company include name, recognition - Types of the organization/company location/address, contact, employer and number of employees, products or services of the company, partnership, lengths of operation, etc Internship Job Description - You have to write a paragraph or an essay about your job description - You have to stick into your main job responsibilities. 1.3 Significance of Internship - Reasons to conduct the internship - Benefits of internship 5

6 Chapter II Literature Review - You have to research for theories, concepts or idea from various sources related to internship job s responsibilities. -You have to write the subtitle by yourself based on your research. - The flow of literature review must be divided into 3 main parts (Overview, body and summary) - Each theory, concept or idea must be cited appropriately. - Use in-text citation for literature review - Techniques of writing (summarize, paraphrase, quotate) e.g., 2.1 Overview of Accounting Accounting is the process of identifying, measuring, recording, and communicating financial information about an organization s activities to permit informed decisions. Business managers use accounting information to predict the consequence of their future actions and to help decide which action to take. Business managers also use it to evaluate the performance of employees (David, 1994). Investors use accounting information to evaluate business managers and decide where to invest their money. Governments use it to determine taxes owed by individuals and business and to make policy decisions ( accounting principle, 1997). The demands for accounting information divided two parts are outside and inside demand. Outside demand has capital market, government, special-interest groups. Inside demand has managers, employees (Kimmel & Jerry J, 2011). 6

8 Chapter III Internship Plans 3.1 Organization Background - You have to write the details of organization background/history - You also state your organization s Vision, Mission, Goal and Organization Structure, Department Structure Description of Internship Activities - Write in details of your internship activities, process or working (State actual activities) 3.3 Plans of Internship - Write in details about your schedule (starting date, ending date, days of working, hour per day, week and total hours. - Place a table of Weekly working schedule and a table of Weekly Working Plans of Interns 3.4 Relation to Major - How your internship job relates to your major at university? - What are the courses related to your position 3.5 Sources of Information Primary Data Secondary Data Objective 1, 2, 3, 4 (set by MRC) 8

9 Stage 3: Final Draft Submission Chapter IV Details of Report 4.1 Establishment of Organization - You have to write the details of your department 4. 2 Position 4.3 Difficulties and Problems 4.4 Working Enviroment Stage 3: Final Draft Submission Chapter V Results and Discussion 5.1 Results - What you have (not) done completely? - What are the outcomes of your internship? - You will write down in detail the knowledge/skills that you have applied into your internship working/activities compared to your literature review 9

10 Stage 3: Final Draft Submission Chapter V Results and Discussion 5.2 Discussion Discuss the main tasks/problems you have worked on, cooperated with, or solved out during your internship period. It will show how you got these results, and why your results are completed or uncompleted. Stage 3: Final Draft Submission Chapter VI Conclusion and Recommendation 6.1 Conclusion is a final brief statement which draws together the objectives. Moreover, the chapters which are more important than others should be summarized Chapter IV & V 10
