2 Job description Job title: Quality Assurance Manager Grade: 5 Division: Reporting to: Responsible for: Main contacts: ICT Chief Technology Officer Two QS Test Leads, two Test Analysts and external contract Test Analysts when required Internal: Chief Technology Officer, Change Programme Manager, and all other AAT Divisions xternal: Test Partners, Centre4Testing, Key ICT suppliers and external auditors Major objectives To contribute to the achievement of AAT s business plan objectives and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation by:developing AAT s Testing Governance, implementing test policies, strategies and a QA best practice framework delivering quality assurance for all system changes regardless of project classification and provide a measure of quality ensuring that resource is utilised to enable effective delivery of both quality assurance and best practice processes Responsibilities Quality Assurance development and implementation Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMi) Level 5 is achieved and maintained Continued development of AAT s QA best practice framework by ensuring lessons learnt are captured, communicated and incorporated back into the QA process Prepare Test Strategies for all non-business projects and seek sign-off from key business stakeholders during project initiation nsure all business areas are familiar with the QA best practice framework by hosting lunch & learn workshops, meeting regularly and provide hands-on guidance & support AAT is a registered charity. 3 Team leadership Lead and develop an effective and pro-active team to deliver quality assurance nsure the QA Team are adequately trained in the required test tools Recognise the need for any external training to meet industry standard qualifications, source suitable providers and continuously monitor quality Provide guidance, support and direction to the QA team on a daily basis ensuring the right priorities are worked on Provide support and guidance to business areas to achieve a workable governance Programme Test Management ffectively manage the entire test operation and execution Measure quality by associating production incidents to a test operation and implement changes to minimise future issues Maintain a Programme Test Plan for resource capacity management and share with the Change Programme Manager, escalating any resource constraints when necessary Assist Project Managers in creating and maintaining project documentation in relation to test plans and acceptance criteria nsure all deliverables for the QA workstream are delivered to agreed project timelines Work with the QA Team to produce accurate test estimation during the change project lifecycle When necessary work with suppliers to understand and link into their QA processes and defect management system Produce reports on issue profiles during all test activities and highlight lessons learnt, making recommendations for improvements Central point of contact for Quality Assurance across the organisation, responding to all queries consistently, professionally and within acceptable timeframes Test Automation Conduct cost benefit analysis on a frequent basis, ensuring return on investment continues Prepare a yearly Test Automation Strategy detailing the approach and continue to build upon the current automation test scripts Internal relations Communicate changes and developments on the AAT QA Policy to all appropriate colleagues, this will include Divisional Managers and the xecutive Group Be part of the Change Programme Steering Group contributing to the decision making at programme level Work with the AAT Change Programme Manager to ensure an integrated approach to all testing, training and the development of new systems Develop and maintain excellent working relationships among colleagues within ICT and all other teams Contribute to the development of project management methodologies AAT is a registered charity.
