When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We ensure children s unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach. We do whatever it takes for children every day and in times of crisis transforming their lives and the future we share. In Individual Giving, we raise funds from the mass market through online and offline direct marketing, enabling the general public to be part of transforming children s lives in the UK and around the world. The Acquisition team is responsible for recruiting high volumes of new financial supporters every year. Our acquisition programme is sector leading and we have successfully driven rapid growth in supporter volumes and income. We are committed to continuing to learn and break new ground in acquisition. Currently, we recruit new financial supporters through a variety of acquisition channels including direct response TV, face-to-face, telemarketing, online, press and mobile. We have a supporter focussed approach which we believe is essential to strengthening our performance and protecting future income. The Acquisition team s success relies upon individuals who have specialist knowledge and experience in direct marketing. Our team need a broad range of skills, both creative (to deliver engaging propositions that trigger response) and analytical (in order to monitor the long-term profitability of the campaigns we run).

You ll be working for a well-known international development charity, in a role that offers excellent learning and development opportunities. You could gain exposure to a wide range of fundraising and marketing activities and project manage multi-channel campaigns on a substantial scale. We re looking for an experienced Direct Marketing Executive who wants to help us make that happen. Someone who can do the basics brilliantly but also someone that make things happen to continually improve the programme. Initially we want you to help us rethink the way think about face to face fundraising, supporting our Direct Marketing Manager to develop and deliver private sites and payroll giving fundraising campaigns that are both supporter-centric and profitable. But moving forward, we want to recruit someone with a broad enough range of experience to pick up projects, innovate and drive change across the team. You ll build great relationships with our agency account teams and be comfortable holding them to account, and you ll build great rapport with our fundraisers through training, ongoing communications and incentives. But you ll also keep an eye on the day to day mechanics that make the numbers add up KPIs, financials, attrition modelling, dataflow and a fantastic early welcome experience. Whilst you ll initially be managing face to face campaigns, we re looking for candidates with a broad range of experience that can spot opportunities to integrate activity across our programme more effectively. We like our team to have the flexibility to support on other projects, whether it s responding to a natural disaster with a press ad, integrating digital marketing into face to face campaigns, or working across the team to cover holiday and specific projects. 2
