He has published four books and more than 2,100 articles on financial and business-related topics in journals, extension and other popular publications. For 25 years, Kohl was Professor of Agricultural Finance and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia. The Kohl Agribusiness Centre has been established in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech in honor of his long-term commitment to practical teaching, research, and extension. In 2017, Kohl was inducted into the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Hall of Fame. Dr. Kohl s personal involvement with agriculture and interaction with key industry players provide a unique perspective into the future trends of the agricultural industry and economy. As a former regional economist in the public affairs department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Toby s experiences backed by his education, research statistics and survey results help you make better financial decisions. Toby is the author of the book Club Fed: The Good, the and the Fixable which explores the good and the bad of money, banking and the Federal Reserve. Madden received his undergraduate degree in Accounting and obtained an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota and completed Ph.D. coursework in applied economics.
