1 Provincial Project Coordinator - Nutrition Location: [Africa] [Burundi] Category: Field Operations PURPOSE OF POSITION The Purpose of this Position is to lead the Integrated Life-Saving Project nutrition interventions, to manage and supervise the operations by coordinating the project implementation, monitoring and evaluation in the assigned province. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and supervise the implementation of project as per the approved budgets, scope & timeline at province level Ensure that all recruited staff are trained and oriented on project approaches and activities, reporting tools & documentation. Provide on- job mentoring and coaching for project staff for a timely implementation of project activities at provincial level Provide adequate coordination of planned studies (baseline and project evaluation surveys) and supervise the M&E staff in close collaboration with other external partners at provincial level. Monitor the use of business process implementation of maternal and child nutrition enhancement project to ensure that the program is aligned with WV, donor and other relevant standards; Participate in the institutional learning initiatives for the establishment of efficient

2 information systems. Establish strategic networks/partnerships at local and provincial levels in nutrition, with public and private institutions, research institutions, civil society organizations, CBOs and other key stakeholders, to promote synergy and complementarity in the project implementation Organize and facilitate quarterly project coordination meetings at province level and participate in the national coordination and project learning forums Produce quarterly, annual and final project reports at provincial level Represent WVB in provincial and national meetings, workshops and nutrition forums Qualifications: Education/Knowledge Bachelor in Nutrition or Public Health with a relevant field experience in coordination of public health and nutrition projects: Masters in Nutrition or Public Health is an added value. At least 2 years of relevant experience working with Non-Governmental Organizations in health and nutrition project coordination Technical Skills and Experience: Advanced project management skills and good understanding of the project life cycle Good understanding of best practices in nutrition and community development Experience with development project management tools such as log frames, monitoring

3 and evaluation tools and budgets. Excellent supervision skills, including training, mentoring and supporting staff Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including report-writing and formal communication skills. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Lotus Notes (or another main system such as Microsoft Outlook). Fluency in French and English. Good understanding of World Vision and Sphere relief standards. Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct. Other Competencies/Attributes: Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, and ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds. Emotional and spiritual maturity and ability to lead a team of professionals. Commitment to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement.
