2 Course Description Facilities like buildings, utility plants, power & water distribution networks, production plants, parking lots and landscaping become more and more flexible, complex and expensive. That is why Facilities Management is big business nowadays. It is one of the largest budget expenses and therefore one of the major sources of cost savings. However not at all costs, because facilities are a major asset too. This course shows you how to apply the Best Practices to organize and manage a facilities department as a successful business within a business. The goal is to operate and maintain the facilities in an effective and efficient way, in order to integrate function, people and place. The course is about finding the right balance between asset performance (functionality, availability, reliability, safety and security) and costs, about the right balance between operating and maintaining the facilities in-house or contracting it out. Courses will be conducted during the designated dates at a 4 star or 5 star hotel in the designated city. Payments to be made in advance. Tahat, is experienced and highly qualified facilities management and planning consultants and trainer with extensive experience in the design and implementation of major mechanical and management systems and infrastructure projects, including different projects and training courses in Dubai, KSA, Jordan, Germany and Turkey. He delivered different university and public training courses covers the essential design and operation of elevators and escalator systems which address the terminology and functions of the various associated mechanical and electrical components. The courses is based on ASME A Inspector s Manual for Electric Elevators and ASME A Inspector s Manual for Hydraulic Elevators. It provides a top-to-bottom look at inspection techniques and concepts including how to conduct elevator inspections and tests safely, both for scheduled updates and unexpected problems. He has an Honors PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer and is a specialist in the design, operations and strategies of Mechanical Systems. He is Certified Trainer of Trainers (ToT) by The Education for Employment Foundation (EFE), Washington DC, USA. Montasser specializes in the Sustainable Design (water and energy efficiency) of mechanical, electrical and public health systems and their full integration with the building and its sub systems, through to operational readiness. He has extensive practical experience in the design and implementation of critical environment systems and also electronic control and data acquisition system requirements, control system strategies. He has taught and trained students/engineers/trainees practical engineering skills as well as softer skills, such as Maintenance Management, Mechanical Systems, IFMA Facility Management Professional, TQM and Data Quality.
