16 Idea: Reactivation Letter Dear Soror, Greetings from Sigma! Your sisters near and far have missed your presence and want to take this time to update you on the wonderful things that the sorority and Sigma Sigma Alumnae chapter have accomplished. Sigma Gamma Rho continues to make an impact on its local community and internationally. In recent years, the sorority has assisted citizens of Haiti through the donation of much needed supplies and aid. Domestically the sorority has joined the 50 Pound Challenge in support of our health awareness initiatives, donated doors to the rebuilding efforts for Hurricane Katrina victims, and has applied to be a member of the United Nations. Sigma Sigma Chapter has also seen much progress over the years. We have collaborated with the Downtown s Women Center sponsoring a health awareness fair for homeless women, hosted the sorority s national project Youth Symposium in conjunction with our long standing Oratorical Contest, and are proud to be hosting the 2010 Boule in Palm Desert. What an honor! We are hoping that you will strongly consider reactivating and taking part of the wonderful things the sorority is accomplishing internationally, nationally, regionally and locally. There are different levels of commitment available to all sorors. You are cordially invited to join us at our Round-up BBQ on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 2:00pm at 900 Maitland Avenue; Inglewood This will be an opportunity to meet new sorors, reconnect with old sorors, and fellowship over good food and conversation. You can also take the opportunity to ask us any pressing questions regarding your reactivation. Please contact Soror, Membership Chair, at to let us know you are coming. We look forward to connecting with you! Sisterly, Soror Membership Chair

17 Implementation in your chapter Start with your Executive Board and lead by example. Develop a membership plan for the year Incorporate plans in overall chapter plans and calendar
