Careers & Internships is an early mover in the provision of the Professional Year Program under the 485 Skilled Graduate Visa and also offers a range of career readiness programs including Work Integrated Learning programs for tertiary providers and students. The Compliance Manager ensures that all business operations under Navitas Professional are compliant with relevant RTO ASQA registrations and legislative requirements. This role will embed quality practices including management and oversight of compliance and quality audits, accreditation and registration, continuous improvement of the policy framework, operational planning, reporting to legislative bodies, and overall compliance with the regulatory framework. Essential Relevant tertiary qualification in education, risk management or a related discipline Demonstrated understanding of VET quality frameworks, course accreditation and compliance management Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and evidence of the ability to liaise effectively with staff at various levels Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce high quality written reports and deliver presentations to staff and stakeholders Excellent digital literacy, including preparation of reports, audio-visual presentations, podcasts and webbased communications Excellent time management and project management skills, including the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects Strong customer service focus Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and relevance of information received and distributed Desirable criteria Demonstrated experience of risk management frameworks and methodologies in the Vocational Education and Higher Education environments Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian legislative and regulatory environment (Consumer Law, Privacy, Equal Opportunity, Health & Safety, Copyright, etc) What we offer An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. 2 Position Description Title: Manager, VET Compliance Division: Business Unit: Reports to: UP Australasia Navitas Professional, Careers & Internships Director, Careers & Internships 1. Overview and Objectives of the Position: Manage the ongoing RTO ASQA registration and maintenance of ASQA Net Information of Navitas Professional Training Pty Ltd, trading under business name Navitas Professional which offers vocational education programs to international and domestic students Manage responses to Requests for Information re VET compliance as required and assist in preparing responses to external regulators, professional associations & other stakeholders Provide advice re VET regulatory compliance to internal stakeholders as required Monitor and provide advice and assistance to support the implementation of processes related to VET course accreditation, curriculum review and external curriculum compliance Provide advice to support the quality of VET teacher recruitment, ongoing professional development and delivery of VET programs Provide advice to ensure the quality of VET assessment processes, outcomes and awards Provide advice and assistance in relation to the implementation of policies and procedures that underpin regulatory compliance Maintain positive Stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively to support continuous improvement systems and strategies Monitor the implementation of VET risk mitigation activities identified in academic and operational risk registers Undertake regular analysis of quality benchmark metrics and external risk intelligence, disseminate information and make recommendations to key internal VET stakeholders Manage the coordination and timely submission of the ASQA Annual Declaration of Compliance Work with the Data Systems team to ensure the accurate and timely submission of data reports to regulatory authorities including the ASQA Quality Indicator Annual Summary report and submission of AVETMISS data Oversee the monthly validation of AVETMISS data from Edupoint and the submission of data to STELA in South Australia Page 2

Key Result Areas: Manage the ongoing VET registration and compliance of Navitas Professional Training Pty Ltd, trading under business name Navitas Professional and associated regulatory compliance systems and frameworks Oversee the development and management of systems, services and processes to ensure the compliance of Navitas Professional with relevant regulatory and quality assurance frameworks Assist the Business Services Manager in stakeholder engagement and satisfaction with processes and make suggestions for improvement Support projects and initiatives in areas such as policy alignment, consistent implementation of systems and business processes, implementation of revised Standards and other projects as required from time to time Design, coordinate and deliver professional development activities to support quality outcomes and up to date information on compliance and regulatory requirements Provide advice and assistance to support ongoing RTO registration, and VET regulatory reporting processes Monitor, support and respond to changes in the scope of registration and provide support and guidance in relation to the impacts of those changes on the core business Provide accurate and timely information on policy and regulatory changes affecting provider registration and course accreditation issues Oversee and assist in the preparation of submissions to regulatory bodies and other agencies in relation to extensions to scope, new course registration and/or requests for information Work with the Business Services Manager in relation to the implementation of policies and procedures that underpin regulatory compliance Liaise with stakeholders in relation to alignment of policies and procedures, quality systems, and records management Monitor business practices, procedures and protocols and oversee procedures to ensure compliance with records management requirements Page 3

4 Monitor version control systems Work with key stakeholders to ensure quality and continuous improvement systems are in place and operational Monitor complaints, OFI procedures and assessment appeals processes for common elements and assist key stakeholders in implementing improvements where appropriate Maintain positive Stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively to support continuous improvement systems and strategies Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders and produce regular reports to ensure timely and accurate flow of information Gather feedback from stakeholders about processes and take a consultative approach to implementation of quality systems Undertake research and provide recommendations to maintain continued compliance with external standards, regulations and contractual requirements Produce reports on matters concerning quality and compliance as required Participate in meetings and working parties from time to time Maintain continuous improvement register Conduct internal audits as required to support arms-length monitoring activities Oversee and support the development and implementation of an internal audit schedule Track and record outcomes of internal audits and/or external auditors in Tickit and liaise with key stakeholders to follow-up on the implementation of actions to address identified issues 4.
