6 Success stories CDAA members have many inspirational stories that demonstrate the importance of career development Case study A jobseeker had applied for 50+ opportunities. S/He was invited for interview approximately 25% of the time. The jobseeker finally reached the advanced stage in a recruitment and selection process, was the preferred candidate and had been invited to visit the operational site at which s/he was to work. While on site, it was announced that the operational site was to be sold. Recruitment for the advertised position was abandoned. After suffering such a major setback, the client sought career practitioner support. Together a plan was engineered, resulting in the jobseeker being offered three competing opportunities. The client ultimately accepted a commercially focused Financial Analyst role with an international business in a different industry.
