10 Evidence (Non Compliance) I. B. Continuous Notice of Nondiscrimination 34 C.F.R (d), 104.8, and 106.9; and 28 C.F.R The continuous notice should appear in all general brochures, recruiting materials, job postings, student handbook and enrollment forms, and prominently on the website. It does not appear that Carl Sandburg College has a continuous notice of nondiscrimination that is consistent or meets the requirements of the Guidelines. Very few brochures, recruitment materials, or other publications include or address a continuous notice of nondiscrimination. Regarding the job vacancy postings, the notice should appear within the posting, not as an external link. The notice is not prominently displayed on the website and can be found only after doing a thorough search. Interviews with faculty, staff, and students confirmed that there was uncertainty as to where to find the continuous notice.

11 Finding (Corrective Action) 1. Develop an all-inclusive, consistent continuous notice of nondiscrimination. The notice should include a statement that the college does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, and disability. Please note that the notice may also include contact information if space is not limited. 2. The College must ensure that all major publications and other materials listed above contain a continuous notice of nondiscrimination. 3. The notice should be displayed prominently on the College s website and must be easily searchable.

12 Finding (Action Plan) While the statement did not really change, we will be more intentional regarding placing the statement on our marketing/recruiting materials and applications for our CTE programs
