11 Member Comments Keep it up! Thanks for doing this! This is one of the main programs or set of programs that makes me feel like this City is invested in me, my family and friends. We're all interconnected. I am currently participating in a weight management class being offered at my workplace and it has really helped me manage what I eat! Managing misperception None of the classes, etc, are accessible to those of us who don t work in civic center.

14 Why RECHARGE at Work? Deep breathing helps manage stress Study participants reported improved mood and stress Physiological changes lower heart rate, lower stress levels Stretching decreases and reduces stiffness and pain Regularly stretching has been shown to reduce mental tension and, when combined with mindful breathing techniques, may also help to decrease anxiety and depression decrease stiffness, reduce pain levels (especially in individuals with chronic neck or low-back pain) reduce blood pressure, heart rate and breathing rate, counteracting the body s physiological responses to stress and muscular tension

Place a check mark next to any items you agree to implement. 6. Make sure to identify who will take the lead on implementing the idea and confirm the date(s) of when it will happen.

Restate the team/department s commitment to RECHARGE and share a few of the reasons listed from the exercise above. 3. Recap all the ways the team/department has worked to Create a RECHARGE Culture. If specific teams or individuals can share what they are doing to RECHARGE and how it has helped, ask them to contribute. 4. End with a stretching routine or breathing exercise. Consider who might be the best person to lead this.
