3 Additional Question Types An Organisation Manager now has the ability to add a date and/or time field to all Assessment s. When a Date field is selected as a question type a date field will display on the Assessment as a calendar icon. This will enable the user to select a date from the calendar to be stored in the correct format on the Assessment. When a time field is selected as a question type, a text box will display with an hh:mm format to be filled in enabling the correct time to be stored on the Assessment. Provide the ability to enter date and time data in a uniform format allowing for this data to be used for reporting purposes. 4 Text atting and Mandatory Questions An Organisation Manager now has the ability to change the text formatting of questions within an Assessment. The questions can be displayed in Bold, Red or Bold and Red text. The Organisation Manager can also choose to change a question to be a mandatory question. When a question is marked as mandatory, the user will be prompted to complete the question if it has not been answered when the Assessment is completed. Provides prompts to the user ensuring consistency of data entry. 5 Question Changes An Organisation Manager now has the ability to edit Assessment Questions. Clicking on the Question will convert the question into edit mode. Edit mode provides the ability to Move a Question up or down, Insert a Question above or below the question you are editing and Delete a Question. The changes made to the Assessment can be viewed by clicking the Preview link. The changes will display even if Update has not yet been selected. This enhancement saves time. Having the ability to easily change the order of questions, delete or to insert new questions enables the Assessment s to be more dynamic and customised to suit the organisation s needs. 6 Review Date The Review Date enhancement enables a user to set a review date for a form at the time of completion. An Organisation Manager has the ability to activate the review date for Assessment s. When activated a Review Date field will display at the bottom of the Assessment. This field will be a mandatory field. When the Review Date is selected a Scheduled Task is created and assigned to the user who completed the Assessment. Handy Hint The Organisation Manager will need to activate the Review Date for Assessment s where a Review Date is to display - through the Organisation Management menu. The Review Date enables work flow to be introduced to ensure Assessment reviews are completed on time and remove manual monitoring of Assessment reviews. 7 Work Flow This enhancement provides the ability to immediately prompt for a new Assessment to be started after completing an Assessment. Within s Template the Organisation Manager can select to active the Prompt for Assessment function. When selected, the Organisation Manager can then link an Assessment to the which is being edited. On completion of the, the user will be prompted to complete the Assessment which has been linked. Moving on to complete the next form will not be mandatory. A hyperlink to the linked Assessment will open the form ready for completion. Saves time by removing the need to have a manual process in place to ensure a group of Assessment s are completed as part of a process or policy. 8 Numeric Calculation Organisation Managers now have the ability within Assessment s template, to add a score to each of the responses within a question. When question type Drop Down is selected an additional Score column will be displayed. Each response within the question can have a score attached. If the score boxes are left blank there will be no scores attached and the Assessment will not change. If scores have been added to responses and these responses are selected, as the Assessment is being completed the scores will display on the Assessment. As the scores are selected the Score box at the bottom of the Assessment will add the scores linked to the selected responses. Numeric scores may provide an alert as to the resident s health when an Assessment is being completed. It can be used within Management Reporting to track a resident s health and a possible prompt for ACFI Funding increases. 9 Minor Assessment Enhancements The Assessment List page has an additional field Designation. This field will list the designation of the user in the Entered By column. For Agency Users the Designation selected will display together with the Agency Name if entered into the User Administration screen. The Agency Staff Name text box and Designation drop down menu will be added to all new and unfinished Assessment s and Observation and Charting Tools. The new fields will only display when logged onto icare as an Agency User. When an Assessment is completed the Resident Header details will remain static as at the complete date of the form. Any changes made to the resident data will not be updated on a form once it is complete. The Resident Photo is the only detail within the Resident Header which will change. When the status of an Assessment is unfinished the resident header will update based on any updates made within Resident Edit. Ensure consistency of data. Resident Management <s & Charts 9

10 ACFI Enhancements When creating an ACFI Verbal, Wandering or Physical Assessment the system will check to see if there is an unfinished version of the assessment. If there is an unfinished version a prompt will display notifying the user together with a link to the unfinished form. When entering data into the PAS, an Assessment Score will display at the bottom of the form once all questions have been answered. If changes are then made, prior to completing the PAS, the Assessment Score will dynamically update to reflect these changes. Once the PAS is complete the Assessment Score will be set. When entering data into the Cornell Scale for Depression, the Total Assessment Score together with the individual scores will be dynamically updated within the Summary table at the bottom of the form. An Organisation Manager now has the ability to link an ACFI form through to any of the ACFI Questions to enable a completed form to be viewed as part of the ACFI Appraisal. An Organisation Manager now has the ability to include an ACFI form in a progress Note. Once an ACFI is completed a progress note will display with a link through to the completed ACFI Handy Hint The Organisation Manager will need to activate the Display in Progress Notes - through the Organisation Management menu. Changes to the ACFI s will save time, providing up to date data as a form is completed together with ensuring consistency. Resident Management <s & Charts 10
