6 WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS? ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME Think Beyond your limits. There s no need to choose between education and practical skills, because our Advanced Apprenticeship gives you both. You can broaden your mind with brand new concepts at college and put them into action here at Jaguar Land Rover. One day, you ll be learning about the latest technologies in your field, and the next you ll be actually interacting with them - propelling your experiences beyond other people your age. And while we open your eyes to the future of automotive technology, giving you a platform to make a real difference to Jaguar Land Rover and our customers, we ll also pay for you to complete several valuable academic and vocational qualifications. The Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) is a four-year programme, where you earn while you learn. Your first year will be spent at college but you ll be a Jaguar Land Rover employee and earn a full salary. This is where you ll learn the engineering basics you ll need for your future role. Outside of college term times, you ll enrich your studies while working at one of our plants alongside your skilled colleagues. During your second and third years, your college studies will continue on a one to two-day release basis with the constant guidance and support of a Workplace Learning Manager. There are two pathways in our Advanced Apprenticeship programme - Manufacturing or Engineering: MANUFACTURING This will train you to ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard so we meet all our production targets in one of our manufacturing facilities. ENGINEERING Here, you ll primarily work on all stages of product creation and modification. This means supporting activities ranging from early concept feasibility, design and development stages right through to final preparation for launch and customers. 5

9 HIGHER APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME Future-proof your skills with an innovative education. This is what our four-year Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) offers. You ll experience the exciting mix of theoretical engineering and applying the technology for yourself moving between your first-year studies at Warwickshire College and a team of skilled colleagues at one of our plants. Your education will continue throughout your apprenticeship. You ll also get a full salary and be mentored by a personal Industrial Training Manager to help you excel in the business. On this programme you will become a Powertrain Propulsion Technician. Powertrain Engineering means working with some of the world s most advanced manufacturing processes. By using innovative techniques and in-depth knowledge, you ll help us stay ahead of the competition and respond quickly to the changing technological, environmental and legislative factors that shape the industry. You ll specialise in technologies such as propulsion technology, internal combustion engines, hybrid, electric and advanced control systems. FINANCE DEGREE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME An evolving business means new challenges for finance. So you ll need to think beyond the conventional to have the impact and influence we need. You ll study for a degree at the University of Warwick while exploring the financial systems behind real-life projects. Outside of term time, you ll work with us under the mentorship of world-class professionals. There s also the chance to study for your Level 4 Diploma in Business Accounting and Full CIMA Chartered Accountancy qualification. On the job, your diverse experience will take in Accounts Payable, Marketing, Sales & Service, Finance, Business Assurance, Supplier Risk and Tax.
