3 Astrow 7.0 Version New look Astrow changed its look in version 7. The new theme is lighter and less crowdy in borders, roundings and other similar elements. The login screen has a new shape: The AstrowWeb desktop: 3

4 Charts Charts provides a graphical view on employees data in Astrow and enable users to export data in graphical chart format for efficient and quick view on employee T&A evolution. Charts functionality requires Charts license to get full power of graphical data. 4

5 Charts can be generated based on counters or absences data: The counters or absences to be displayed are selectable from their corresponding list: Teams, individual employees, period type, unit intervals or type of chart can be selected from top menus: 5

6 Multiple configurations are possible and user can switch between them: Charts can be displayed in the Dashboard. Charts license Charts are available with license. However, basic charts are available without license. These are the restrictions of the limited charts: only charts based on Counters are possible without license - the Absences selection is still visible in combo but cannot be selected maximum 3 counters can be selected only one chart configuration per user (both dashboard and from menu) only possible for MSS users only possible for maximum 5 users (MSS) displays data from the last 35 days Customizable dashboard The new dashboard enable users to customize their views by letting them choose which views to display immediately in dashboard: 6

7 The views on the dashboard can be dragged into new positions, the width and height can be adjusted or let them auto fill the width. In dashboard, multiple configurations can be defined and user can switch between them. A configuration can be saved under different name to help user start from already defined ones: Items can be added from Add item button. Rows can be added from Add row button. 7

8 The view bars enables user to make some layout adjustments like auto width layout: All the settings and last active dashboard configuration is automatically saved between sessions. PIP PIP view has been improved regarding graphical aspects and functionality. In this version, PIP will display employee photo if any, last booking, terminal of the booking. PIP can be filtered based on teams or terminals and employees can be sorted by status or name: 8

9 A slide show with timeout can be enabled to switch between pages if employees don t fit in one page. This is helpfull when PIP is displayed on a LCD/TV on the wall and there is not enough space in one page to render all employees: The employee cell can be redimensioned as desired by using the zoom tool: The full screen mode has been extended to hide the top toolbar providing even more space when displayed on a TV/LCD by pressing on button in window bar. Absence requests In version 7, a full set of new functionalities was added to help employees and managers cope with Absence requests. Adding an absence request by an employee is now more transparent and easy with the new view. The employee will have a full year view on his present and planned absences and can more easily decide on new requests: 9

10 If employee has absences or requests they will be visible in the view: Day program can be displayed also and a filter based on holiday type absences is possible: 10

11 A few other improvements were introduced in version 7: If an employee adds an absence request although not enough holiday, the employee can still add it. The manager will get a warning that the employee does not have enough holiday when trying to grant it. Still, as in employee case, manager can grant it. When manager is granting a request, a warning that there are more employees within same period is displayed. Managers will see granted absences no matter if the request is still on his level or not. The grand/reject is possible only when request is on his level. The managers on the same level and below should receive notifications on each grant/reject operations performed after his level. Holiday Planner tool Holiday Planner is a rich tool which shows valuable data on the company employee holidays/absences. It shows the peaks and variations in employee holidays. 11

12 The teams or employees on which to apply the view can be selected: Multiple configurations are possible by using Save as button and user can switch between them: The right-click contextual menu enable users to view the list of absence or requests in a list format or table format as Team View: 12

13 There are two scales for the color intensity of the cells: Based on maximum number of employees in any cell in current view and filter Based on absence count Holiday planner print Holiday Planner can be printed in A4 or A3 format for selected data. Managers can select the page format and some other additional printing options: The HTML page will be displayed on a new tab in the browser from where user can print it on paper or other format: 13

15 Team Manager In Astrow 7, Team Manager has added some new functionalities. It is possible now to stop showing the tooltip when moving the mouse over a cell by clicking on the bar: tool in title Navigation in day view, timecard or holiday card will go over pages when reaching the first or the last employee from the current page, or when reaching the first or the last day when moving between days or periods. The page is automatically switched accordingly in Team Manager. In day cells it is now possible to show the Standard start/end from day program definition and also the counter code. A button to edit current configuration was added near the configurations combo: Team Manager printing and exporting The printing and export to Excel of Team manager is now possible using the button: Printing is possible in A4 or A3: 15

16 The export to Excel can be done with each cell data in one row or multiple rows for same employee: Chat The chat feature is very similar to other chat programs on the market and enable employees and managers to communicate inside Astrow by using the web or Astrow Mobile application. The chat can be used as a production 16

17 tool since it has a restricted environment and can help of increasing productivity in those companies where real time communication is a must. The users can communicate with other users as defined in each user definition: The Chat permission needs to be assigned before being able to communicate with the other assigned users. The chat window shows peers possible to communicate with and for each conversation a tab is opened showing the exchanged messages: 17

18 Multiple holiday edit In Astrow 7, the Holiday management tool was redesigned and simplified to be more useful. This time it has a wizard like layout guiding the user for simple multiple edit operations. Only one type of editing can be performed at once: assign holiday, edit holiday assignment or delete holiday assignment. The flow is: 1. Select operation: 2. Select holiday type: 18

Review changes: Employee Self Service Some improvements were done in the ESS part of Astrow: Employees can add notes in Timecard Employees can set the address by themselves in Preferences Note marker is displayed in Timecard Other features Enabled the removal of the Add booking request and Employee pay period confirm permissions from ESSUser role. Up to this version they couldn t be removed Show company name in top bar of the application: Team/My Anomalies filter by more than one type of anomalies and save last selected filter between sessions: Team View show by default Absent & present employees 20

21 Employee contract With the employee contract Astrow offers the possibility of defining the contractual hours of an employee. It s also possible to link hourly wages to this contract. The advantages lies in the fact that these counters and wages can be defined like a cycle, thus providing historical information and evolutions of an employee. Both T- and C-counters are considered, so the field of application can be very broad. General reporting improvements A number of improvement regarding the reports have been done in this new release, such as: 1. New cost center report: create your own reports based on the cost centers logics that are present in Astrow. Following the standard Configuration and Execution build up, it allows for much more flexibility! 2. Real Counters that were used only in the Team Manager, can now also be used in the reports. This way, more information can be shared with PC-less employees. 3. It s now possible to create your own Activity export inside Astrow. Together with extra information from Astrow, the typical Activity-app-information can now be exported in any required format. 4. The popular AstrowSUITE-legacy reports checkbox not print if empty is reintroduced in AstrowWeb. This setting can be applied to any report and even to multiple columns for an even better view. 21

22 Anomalies Since a long time, it is possible to link counters with an anomaly. These would appear in the daily view. Now these counters can also be shown in the Team anomaly screen and in the Anomalies reports. This allows for even faster decision making. Also in the reports it shows a more in-depth overview of what s going on with the employees. 22
