Factories and Machinery Act 1967 and OSHA 1994 acts have define the dangers of electrical and mechanical work and require workplace employers to provide education and training ON Machine Safety. The employees must also notify the company by his supervisor if found hazards in the area of electrical and mechanical company. OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this program, participants will: Be familiar with the existing electrical and mechanical hazards Be able to appreciate the concept of Machine Safe-guarding Be familiar with the existing hazards/risk and minimizing them and present corrective control items during machine maintenance Have an in-depth understandings of identification, planning and execution of the Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) system and able to apply them during regular work-task Medium of Instruction English/Bahasa Malaysia Training Methodology Theory, Group presentations, Inspections and quiz

He has been a Safety and Health practitioner for more than 15 years. He had also attended numerous Train-the-Trainer program from NIOSH & HRDC (PSMB Train-the-trainer) and various risk, safety, technical and management skill trainings. He is also an ISO 9001, ISO & OHSAS (QESH) lead assessor and an associate member of IChemE (an organization of chemical engineers based in UK). He initially pursued his industrial careers with a tyre-making industry as QA Engineer, then pursued a career in electronics storage memory devices and Integrated circuit industries as Facilities & EHSsenior department position. His previous industrial responsibilities includes handling total Quality and EHS management, Emergency Response Team, general plant maintenance, plants utilities (electricity, RODI, HVAC, air-conditioning, air compressors, scheduled wastes management, etc.), X-ray Radiation protection officer, Chemical Health Risk Assessor, general housekeeping, operations of plant s pollution control equipment (waste water treatment & sewage plants, scrubber/chimney discharges, etc.) Mr Izil Kamal has conducted numerous Public and In-house courses on areas of Management, Softskills, 5S, Environment, Health and Safety in Penang and other states in Malaysia since His area of training expertise includes Total chemical safety management, Waste management, HIRARC, Emergency Response Planning, Electrical safety. He has also conducted training modules on Certificate in Safety & Health Officer courses, audits/inspections and presented papers at seminars organized by government agencies and higher learning institutions. He is currently a trainer in FMM s Certificate in Safety & Health Officer Course.

4 ADMINISTRATIVE DETAILS COURSE FEE DRESS CODE REGISTRATION CANCELLATION RM760 (FMM Member) / RM850 (Non-Member) per participant (The fee includes luncheon, coffee/tea breaks and notes) Office Attire Participation in the programme is based on a first-come-first-served basis. Cheques made in favour of the FMM Institute should be forwarded on or before programme date to the FMM Institute, Northern Branch, Bandar Seberang Jaya. Participants who registered but did not attend, will be billed accordingly. There will be no refund for cancellation within 2 days prior to the programme, 50% for cancellation between 3 6 days and full refund for cancellation 7 days prior to the programme. Please inform in writing if you intend to cancel. A replacement can be accepted at no additional cost.
