2 POSITION PURPOSE Our desired future in the Peple and Leadership Team is ne where we demnstrate that ur peple matter, and that we cannt realise ur visin withut them. We want ur staff t feel listened t, valued and empwered. We want t make things easy fr them, t have the right skills, and feel supprted t put tamariki first. The team has three fcus areas t supprt ur peple t live the Oranga Tamariki visin, purpse and the Oranga Tamariki way. These are: Make ur peple prcesses effective and easy s they can fcus n Oranga Tamariki Build ur capability s we can realise Oranga Tamariki Create an envirnment where ur peple are empwered t put tamariki first The purpse f the Strategic Partner is t wrk with Senir Managers at Oranga Tamariki t develp specific plans t build the capability and leadership f ur peple, t ensure we have the right capacity and shape f the wrkfrce t deliver services fr Tamariki, and a culture where ur peple are empwered t get n with their wrk, making sund decisins that psitively affect the lives f children and yung peple. A key fcus f yur rle is t supprt managers t make sure ur frntline wrkfrce is set up fr success bth in the shrt t medium term, and in the lng term. Yu will wrk clsely with the Peple and Leadership Change Manager and with the Strategic Recruitment Partner t make sure we have a sustainable wrkfrce, and are building a pipeline f talent fr the future KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Key Result area Key Accuntabilities Business Partnering - Wrk clsely with DCE s and their teams t prvide strategic supprt, sund cmmercial advice and identify pprtunities t enhance ur ways f wrking and swiftly gain mmentum fr Oranga Tamariki and ur peple t prsper - Help senir business leaders understand and plan fr the peple implicatins f business decisins - Ensure that business unit strategies are supprted with actin fcused wrkfrce plans which supprt them t deliver utcmes fr children, including: Leading the develpment and delivery f a business unit/dce Grup wrkfrce plan which bth infrms and is infrmed by all f rganisatinal needs Wrks with DCE s and their Senir Leadership teams t supprt the implementatin f the wrkfrce plan, such as talent and successin planning t ensure the rganisatin has bench-strength, initiatives t build capability and leadership, and initiatives t recruit, induct and retain great peple. Supprts Leadership teams t grw and lead a high perfrming and highly engaged culture Assist t cmmunicate business purpse, directin and values, and supprt teams t translate this t meaningful perfrmance bjectives and develpment plans fr their peple.
