Reginal cancer netwrks have been in peratin since They are cmplex rganisatinal and service delivery structures that wrk acrss rganisatinal bundaries. They bring tgether key stakehlders t plan and deliver a set f cmprehensive and integrated cancer services crdinated acrss patient pathways thrugh a multidisciplinary team apprach fr a given ppulatin area (regin). Purpse f the psitin The purpse f this psitin is t supprt Midland district health bards (DHB) and key stakehlder rganisatins thrugh the Midland Cancer Netwrk t implement the wrk prgramme thrugh a whle f team and netwrk prtfli apprach. The expected wrk prgramme utputs are aligned with the Natinal Cancer Prgramme Midland Reginal Service Plan initiatives and DHB Annual Plans. Prject management - is accuntable t: Key Result Areas - Functinal lead / facilitate / supprt prjects utilising sund prject management disciplines with a systems and a cntinuus quality imprvement apprach develp terms f reference, prject scpe/plan in cnsultatin with manager. Identify and cnsult with key stakehlders within agreed timeframes prepare an actin plan fr implementatin, including timeframes, milestnes, apprach, benefits, risks, perfrmance indicatrs, activities, resurce and financial implicatins. The manager will apprve the plan prir t implementatin. The plan balances the needs and cmmitments f key stakehlders and the stakehlder rganisatins. Regular prject reprting and escalatin f risks as required identify ptential risks and mitigatin strategies t rectify the issue, and these are escalated t the manager and/r relevant wrk grup ensure the recmmendatins are planned, including implicatins and financial csting achieve the prject key bjectives and is cmpleted t the satisfactin f the manager and key stakehlders. Service planning and delivery - is accuntable t: undertake reginal service planning fr specific cancer service areas participate and supprt reginal strategic planning, health needs assessment and service/data utilisatin related t cancer as required participate and supprt the develpment f the Midland Cancer Netwrk annual plan and reginal service plan fr cancer ensure each Midland Cancer Netwrk wrk grup has an annual wrk plan and reprt n achievements ensure rganisatinal, cntractual and reprting requirements are achieved prvide updates fr the website, newsletters and/r reginal grups as required. Change management and service develpment - is accuntable t: ensure that apprpriate mdel f service delivery systems and prcesses are implemented t supprt patient pathways and natinal tumur/service standards undertake service stck take, audit and/r gap analysis as required. Service imprvement plans are develped, priritised and implemented within available resurces assist and supprt stakehlders with the change prcess t implement new r enhanced mdels f services t realise benefits develp business cases/reprts that facilitate the decisin making prcess apply cntinuus quality imprvement methdlgies/ techniques as required.
