Entrepreneurship We are entrepreneurial by constantly seeking new opportunities and ways to improve and succeed. People are our most valuable asset and we want to preserve and develop them in order to be better fit to reach our strategic goals. Responsibility We are responsible when acting with respect for the interests of all our stakeholders in mind. We are at all times accountable for our actions and in this context being aware that we are ambassadors of the Rockwool Group and representatives of its brand values. Efficiency We are efficient by taking the necessary time to do our homework properly as thorough preparation takes us a big step towards our goals. ROCKWOOL in the community ROCKWOOL aims to be a good neighbour. It is a commitment that began in the 1950s, long before CSR became fashionable, and lies at the heart of the values of ROCKWOOL. Local Businesses We host monthly Bluerock mentoring sessions for local entrepreneurs and were proud to be the headline sponsors of the Bridgend Business Awards in Charities and Not-For-Profit Organisations A philanthropic donations policy has been developed and was launched in March 2017 giving us a framework to support the work of local charities or not-for-private-profit organisations working within our key strategic themes of health, housing and the environment. Community Buildings In December 2016 ROCKWOOL supplied roof insulation free of charge to Coytrahen Community Centre. The Community Association were faced with a significant bill to repair and upgrade the uninsulated, leaky roof so the contribution from ROCKWOOL ensured the work could be carried out quickly to restore this important community hub to full use. Education The Woodland for Learning Centre receives grant funding from ROCKWOOL and is a popular space for children and young people, hosting regular educational visits from local playgroups, nurseries and schools

10 There is something exciting about turning an abundant, ancient resource into a range of products that enrich modern life and address global challenges. The beauty of our products is that they are all around us, all the time, no matter where we are. Yes, they are quiet, and often go unnoticed, but the silent, often-hidden existence of these products make our lives measurably more comfortable and enjoyable. Jens Birgersson - CEO 18 19
