We use the insight gained to drive change through campaigns and partnerships. We are looking for an energetic and experienced project manager to lead a 2-year project on gender diversity and inclusion in the sports sector workplace. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work in a small ground-breaking charity, in the high profile and fast-moving arena of women s sport with plenty of scope to make your mark on the cause. THE ROLE We have been funded by Comic Relief, to continue the important work on gender diversity and inclusion in the sports workplace. This builds on our previous work, over nine years on women in leadership (Trophy women and Beyond 30% projects) and in particular, last year s work exploring workplace culture in the sports sector. We are looking for someone who shows an interest in gender equality and has proven experience in relationship building, project management and translating insights into action. Specifically, the role requires strong skills in the following four areas: 1) Project and budget management; 2) M & E, research, data and information interpretation, and translating insight into ideas; 3) Managing relationships with other organisations; 4) Verbal and written skills for report writing and presentations. This is a part-time role (21 hours/3-day-week equivalent) for a fixed term of 2 years, reporting to the Head of Insight & Innovation and working closely with that team. This post is based in our London office, but we are willing to consider a flexible working pattern to suit the candidate.

3 Responsibilities The Inclusion & Diversity Project Manager will be responsible for leading a 2-year project with the support of the Head of Innovation and Insight and will become the expert in gender equality and inclusion in the workplace at Women in Sport. 1. Project and budget management a. Responsible for scoping out, development and management of the project plan across the 2 years, together with the Head of Insight and innovation and day-to-day management of the project ongoing. b. Conducting extensive desk research to identify challenges and best practice within the sports sector. c. Seeking and establishing connections with organisations outside of the sector to identify relevant initiatives to support gender equal workplace cultures. d. Regular reporting to funder(s) on project outcomes, activities and finances. e. Soliciting, briefing and managing all expert consultants required during the course of the project. 2. Monitoring & evaluation, research data and information interpretation and translation of insight into ideas a. Conducting a comprehensive review of the women in the workplace landscape i. In-depth review and collation of external research ii. Further analysis of existing research to identify gaps in understanding. b. Working with the Head of Insight and Innovation and external experts to define the most appropriate methodology to measure culture change and working with external research experts to develop and pilot this Health check tool. c. Commissioning and briefing research agencies and consultants where required for additional insight gathering. d. Supporting the design of idea generation and facilitated co-creation sessions for organisations and individuals working in the sports sector. e. Developing a monitoring and evaluation framework for the project and conducting in-depth interviews with organisations/men and women in the sports sector where required. 3. Managing relationships and building credibility with other organisations a. Pro-actively engaging with relevant organisations to share understanding and facilitate conversations to understand challenges and approaches to workplace culture. b. Identifying key partner organisations in which to pilot interventions and managing those relationships throughout the course of the pilots. c. All administration and set up for innovation sessions including participant recruitment, venues and management of external consultants. d. Working with external partners to design/and or commission interventions to be piloted in participating organisations. e. Seeking out relevant meetings, conferences and forums to connect and inform important stakeholders in the wider sports sector. 4. Verbal and written skills for report writing and presentations. a. Embedding the project within Women in Sport and externally and working closely with the communications team to provide information and support.

4 b. Identifying opportunities to disseminate learnings and recommendations from the project with the sport sector and other relevant audiences. c. Writing and delivering presentations to engage and inform organisations in the sports sector. d. Creating briefing documents and information sheets e. Developing the communications materials and media packs together with the communications team at Women in Sport. f. Identifying learnings from the project to impact policy and making the appropriate connections within the sector. g. Developing workshops and webinars. 5. As a member of the Women in Sport team you will also have responsibility to support the delivery of the Research and Advice Service to share knowledge, experience and advice through proactive support, to ultimately prevent women and girls missing out on the lifelong benefits of sport. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Required Strong demonstrable project management skills Possess a relevant qualification and/or appropriate experience in a related role. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop and maintain professional relationships internally and with external partners Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive and impactful content Analytical and numerate with experience interpreting data and working with research. Competent in conducting qualitative interviews. Experience of working on change within a complex environment, preferably in an organisational development context. Excellent IT and MS Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Excel. Personal Attributes Enthusiasm, energy and a positive can do attitude towards work. Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales. Well-organised, numerate and with excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated, pro-active and curious. Always seeking to understand why. A strong team-player and manager with good inter-personal skills Demonstrable commitment to the ethos of equality and diversity.

5 REWARD Salary: 30,000 pro rata ( 18,000 for 21 hours) Hours: 21 per week. The post holder will be required to undertake some commitments outside normal working hours. Annual leave: 25 days, plus Bank Holidays pro rata (15 days for 21 hours) Duration: This is a fixed term contract for 24 months. Pension: Women in Sport operates an auto enrolment pension, with matched contributions of up to 3% of salary.
