Collaborate with existing projects/organisations & avoid duplication Redress gender imbalance issues: support uptake & promotion of females entering/gaining qualifications Increase capacity for forward planning in skills for the sector.

11 Courses Theme: Energy / Carbon: Retrofit Energy efficiency measures for traditional and older buildings Summary: This course will provide greater understanding of traditional building methods including thermal, heating and ventilation properties and how this affects the installation of new energy efficiency measures under Green Deal and other relevant programmes. Air tightness and Active Moisture Management Summary: The course is designed to outline and detail the vital role airtightness plays in the design of low energy and low carbon constructions for Construction and Design Professionals.

12 Courses Theme: Energy / Carbon: Energy Management Understanding building energy performance and post occupancy assessment Summary: The course will provide knowledge and understanding ofenergy use innon domesticbuildings non domestic buildings. Specifically, participants will be able to better recognise where and how energy is being used in buildings they manage and be able to target reductions in a structured and methodical manner.

13 Courses Energy / Carbon: Low Carbon Energy Generation Planning for community & neighbourhood scale renewable energy Summary: The course is designed to provide planners / architectswithanunderstanding an of the requirements and issues around community scale renewable energy developments so that they may better engage with developers, engineers and communities. ii

14 Courses Theme: Sustainable Design Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Soft Landings for asset management Summary: The course is designed to introduce Facilities Mangers to the principles of BIM and how it s use can improve delivery, performance and management of assets, highlighting the benefits for carbon management and sustainability
