3 Training Update Live deliveries of the Marketplace Overview and Preparing for TCR Mock Auction courses have concluded. Sessions were very well attended. Computer Based Training (CBT) of the Marketplace Overview will be available at the end of April. Available through the SPP Learning Center (LMS) Training and TCR team members are reviewing the TCR mock auction / training survey results and plans to reach out to interested participants in the coming weeks. Design and development efforts for Integrated Marketplace Level 2 training are underway. 3

9 Training Clinics Additional Detail SPP will be offering a series of Clinics to Market Participants representing Generation, Transmission, and Load. Clinics will be operationally based and geared towards Generator Operators /Providers, Transmission Operators / Providers, and Load Serving Entities. Clinics will be conducted in person. Continuing Education Credits (CEHs) will be offered. 10 Market Participant Input Request SPPs Training department is looking for input from Market Participants on the anticipated level of participation from their respective organizations for the upcoming Level 2 modules. This information will help ensure that the correct number of classes are offered and venues are scheduled adequately. A questionnaire will be sent out to the training liaisons and coordinators the week of April 23 rd. Once questionnaire results are received and reviewed, SPP will begin scheduling efforts. Specific training dates will be provided at the June OTWG and CWG meetings; subsequent announcements will be sent out through various communication channels (SPP Learning Center (LMS), Training Liaisons, Program updates). 10

Part 1 Deep Dives Module Course Description Course Outline Intended Audience Registration This course is designed to help Market Participants understand and successfully complete all registration requirements in order to participate in SPP s Integrated Marketplace. Market Participants will subsequently be introduced to the new registration tool (MCST) and have an opportunity to see how this tool is utilized. Registration Overview Technical Requirements Registration Process and Timelines All Market Participants and potential clients planning to operate in the SPP Integrated Marketplace Prerequisites Recommended: Marketplace Overview # of Attendees It is recommended that Market Participants attend the Commercial and Network Model module to better understand the model relationships and financial impacts. Credit and Risk Management In this course, an overview of credit and SPP s policy on how credit is managed, and credit timelines will be provided. Additionally, a description of credit events and defaults will be presented along with how credit is calculated for different types of transactions. Market Participants will gain a good understanding of the credit process as well as the different communication mechanisms SPP and Market Participants will utilize when discussing topics surrounding credit. 12 Next Steps The Training Department will send out a questionnaire the week of April 23 rd requesting additional participation information for upcoming Level 2 training courses. Market Participants are requested to complete the questionnaire and return to the SPP Training department by May 4 th. Specific dates for training and LMS registration will be provided at the June OTWG and CWG meetings.
