1 How to Set Up Shifts 1..Go to Shift Configure: 2. Enter a name 1. Add 3. Select the number. 4. Save You can select the category. Hours worked in this shift will be put under this category. See 1. Select it 2. Select it 4. All punches between 6:00-8:00 will be counted as 8: save 5. If you uncheck them, you do not need to do punches, but 4 hours from 8:00-12:00 will be counted as time worked under day shift. 1

2 3. Five shifts will be set up as an example. Team 1 Shift: 8:00-12:00; 13:00-17: You need to go to Shift Rules Configure and figure out how these rules work with your shift. Some punches against these rules may not show up on the report. See figure Edit them to suit your needs. save 4. Team 2 Shift: 9:00-13:00; 16:00-20:00. You can set up as many shifts as you want. If you want to delete them, make sure they are not in use by anyone. 2

3 5. Night: 18:00-23:30 Punches between 16:00 and 18:00 will be counted as 18:00. But punches before 16:00 will not show up on the report. 6. Saturday 1: 8:00-12:00 Punches between 12:00-14:00 will be counted as 12:00. but punches after 14:00 will not show up. 3

4 7. Saturday 2: 14:00-18:00 If you leave it blank, any punches before 14:00 will be counted as 14:00 Any punches after 18:00 will be counted as 18: Then go to Shift Rules Configure. On late arrival and early departure: With there two rules, you can check who comes late and leaves early on the report. Select yes or no. Punches against this rule will NOT show up on the report. It is recommended to change it to 240 or 480, so early departure time will be counted into time worked. Punches counted as absent will NOT show up as a valid punch. You can change 29 to 240 or 480, so there is no punishment for late arrival. 4

5 9. On Overtime: You can select Punch only or Punch and Register. If select the latter, you need to go to Special Time Registration to register for overtime and do punches on the machine. After a work shift, the minimum time an employee need to work so as to be counted as overtime. If you select Punch only, you just need to do punches on the machine for overtime to accrue. 5

6 10. On Temporarily out: If a person is out for more than 29 minutes, for example, say 31 minutes, the whole 31 minutes will be taken out from time worked. If you do not want to take out any minutes, change it to 240 or 480. You can use temporarily out to set rules for a break in a shift section. For example: You need to do punches on the machine and the break time will be taken out. Or you can also go to Special Time Registration to register, but the registered temporarily out time will be counted into time worked. 6

7 11. On Unit of account: you can track attendance by the hour or by the minute or by the times. 12. This rule only works with those who use attend with no shift. See Software quick setup with diagrams, figure

8 13. On Other rules: If you keep pressing your finger on the sensor many times, in 5 minutes, only the first one is counted valid. You can change it to 3 or Go to Personnel Entry, add or edit an employee: 1. If you choose attend by shift, you MUST choose a default shift. Save 8

9 15.On Weekend ID: You can add or edit a regular weekly vacations rather than in the weekend. Click here 16. Go to Staff Shift to apply shifts to employees 2. Select the date range and click display. 3. select the shift and move the mouse to the table and click once. You can click it again to delete it. 1. select employees. You can select as many as you want. 5. Save 4. You can drag the mouse over to apply shifts. If you leave the field blank, the default shift counts, e.g., Mike s default shift is S002, the blank fields are S002. 9

10 17. If you use circular multiple shifts for each employee, you can configure shift bundles by going to Time Attendance Management Fixed shift bundle configure. And then apply them. 18. On Special Time Registration: When Overtime is registered, punches on the machine or inserted manually are required so as to show up on the report. 10

11 19. When weekend, leave, business trip hours registered here, these hours will be deducted from time worked and punches are not required to calculate hours worked. 20. When temporarily hours are registered here, you should combine it with its rules under shift rule configure - temporarily out. See figure

12 21. Now you can go to Attendance Processing to add up hours: 1. Select the pay period 3. Click calculate 4.select a date to edit punches 5. select a punch to delete or insert a punch 2. Select daily attendance report 6. configure special time registration 7. View the analysis, edit it, re-calculate hours for the day selected. 8. Click Calculate again to refresh the page and show the change. 9. Total hours 12

13 22. How to customize your time sheet: 2 Table configure. 1. Click the top of the table 5. Save 4. Click the number to edit column width. 3. Uncheck the categories you do not want to show in the attendance report. 13
