Keifer Collison will talk about Haida Gwaii s success with the Haida Gwaii Youth Assembly, teaching the island s youth about governance and leadership. Emergency Response Planning and Management Panel Discussion Wendy Denis, INAC, Duncan Stephen, INAC, Collette Sunday, Upper Nicola Indian Band and Peter Prendergast, Emergency Management BC With wildfires and flooding affecting First Nations communities this year, we wanted to share critical information on emergency planning and response management. Hear about some lessons learned from Collette Sunday from the Upper Nicola Indian Band. You will also get an overview from Peter Prendergast from Emergency Management BC of responses during freshet /fire season, creating an emergency response plan, maximizing reimbursement submissions, recovery processes and much more. Duncan Stephen and Wendy Denis from INAC will discuss how to access recovery funds when an emergency such as a flood or fire occurs in your community. Bring Questions!
