Those with the ability to develop and maintain a broad range of relationships with people with different knowledge, experience and competencies are more effective in both the short and the long term. 2 OBJECTIVES > Learning the fundamental skills for networking effectively > Overcoming personal barriers to networking > Identifying key persons and mapping your network > Identifying networking opportunities, planning and participating in networking activities > Developing a personal statement of unique value > Acquiring a variety of tools and techniques > Using social media effectively > Thinking in the longer term : Networking and your career PARTICIPANTS All employees excluding students wishing to improve or develop networking skills. METHODS This 1 day workshop is organized to offer participants methods, tools and opportunities to apply learnings through hands-on exercises. Participants are encouraged to share their experience and work with real-life examples, in pairs and in groups.

EPFL, Building BI, Room of the Staff Training Service. A certificate will be delivered to participants who have attended the whole training.

4 TRAINER Anne-Marie Turcotte, Anne-Marie has extensive experience in the development and delivery of training programs, specializing in cross-cultural groups in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, for multinational corporations. She was a Partner and Director of Learning for DOORSmarts Switzerland and is Master Trainer in a number of programs. Anne-Marie has been Advisor to Executive level Canadian and French public servants and has international experience in project management at Canadian Embassies in France and in Mexico and in the negotiation of bilateral and multilateral agreements. Anne-Marie also works as a consultant, mediator and coach at the management and director levels. Anne-Marie is fluently bilingual in French and English and fluent in Spanish. She is Canadian and French, lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, is a graduate of the prestigious Ecole National d Administration (France) and has a Master degree from Carleton University (Canada).
