2 We are aiming to promote good practices much of the research project focuses on developing a supply chain accounting and employment practices toolkit. It will benefit a number of parties, including academics, since supply chain accounting and employment aren t brought together in research very often, and the project should therefore contribute toward the development of supply chain accounting and global commodity chain theory. Accountants, CEOs, CFOs, HR specialists and other practitioners have been engaged in the development of the SCA-Emp toolkit, as well as employment rights lawyers, politicians and practitioners in advanced and emerging economies Professor Dibben Management School Sheffield University

3 What is it? About - SCA-Emp Diagnostic Toolkit: It is a free toolkit for managers to use to assess their performance on HR, accounting and SCM. As part of an international research project, it was co-produced by academics and practitioners including Sheffield University Management School and Essex University. It is supported by professional bodies including Chartered Institute of Personal Development, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, FIEP, FIEPE and SABPP. It can be accessed online, or downloaded as an Excel document. This diagnostic toolkit can help you to achieve financially sustainable supply chains and excellent employment practices. The toolkit has been used successfully in Brazil and South Africa and is now being rolled out in Ethiopia.

Gareth Crockett MA, BSc Gareth is an associate lecturer and researcher at the University of Sheffield's Management School, teaching on a broad range of topics including corporate governance, accounting, and human resource management. His research focuses on corporate governance in emerging economies and the promotion of decent work in global supply chains. He is passionate about exploring the ways in which worker ownership can be used to increase competitive advantage and promote decent working environments. His work at the University involves developing projects that bridge the gap between academia and industry, enabling industry professionals to influence the direction of research projects while promoting evidenced-based management practice in firms. Peter Loadman MBA, BA(Hons) - LYFT Peter is a management consultant and professionally qualified business and executive coach. Through his business, LYFT, he has worked with a great range of organisations on strategic, operational and people related projects globally. For the past 5 years, Peter has been bringing his extensive experience to Ethiopia, consulting and coaching with a number of businesses, charities and individuals as well as providing training courses. He is the key point of contact in Ethiopia for the toolkit and believes that it will help businesses to transform and build sustainable, ethical organisations fit for the 21 st Century. Ethiopian Support Organisation T.E.A. Consultancy & Training Services T.E.A. are an Addis Ababa based accredited and government licensed company which will be providing businesses who choose to use the toolkit with on the ground support. T.E.A. has worked on training and consulting projects for over 6 years with a number of businesses in Ethiopia including Coca Cola, GIZ, Glorious PLC and Omotic General Trading.
