1 Site Supply Chain Manager ROLE PROFILE GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS Group function/ BU Anglo American Platinum Date June, 2015 Department/ Operation Technical Job band GBF 6/ Location Operations Discipline/ Subdiscipline Technical - Supply Chain CONTEXT PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To ensure adherence to legislation, group policies and procedure of all activities within the various regions To ensure tactical implementation of the supply chain strategy To ensure effective administration systems to support the focus of supply chain management To enable good employee relations within the supply chain team To ensure effective relationships with suppliers and customers to provide the required service delivery WORK OF ROLE (INCLUDING AUTHORITIES AND OUTPUTS) Work of Role Output Work Output Title: Overall business management of a commercial framework for materials control and distribution Direct co-coordinated plans and strategies through the Operations team to improve supply management Plan on with, Business Units and overall plan Determine the need of goods and services in terms of supply planning on an ongoing basis Ensure that stores are set up to achieve optimal efficiencies Ensure that team objectives are translated to KPA's and KPI's Adjudicate contract disputes related to the role Continuously liaise with Operational Supply Chain Manager on business strategy and Supply Chain Management Negotiate and management of service level agreements with Business Units and service suppliers Monitor the quality, quantity and positioning of the material stock holding in the group and take appropriate action for variances to standard Ensure that goods are distributed effectively Promote the achievements of the Regional Supply Management functions 18/08/2015 This role profile acts as a guide to the role only and additional work outcomes may be required to be performed by the incumbent

2 Ensure that the Supply Management team has the resources it requires Business advise to the Operations Division on Supply Management Lead decision making in the Regional Supply Management Team Ensure synergy of operations and resources in the optimization of Supply Management Conform to scheduled and initiate necessary audits of the Supply process. Coordinate support from internal or external specialists Develop contingency pans to ensure that performance targets are achieved even in adverse conditions Ensures security and loss control in the Supply Management process Control Costs of materials and services Obtain input from key role players Contract and monitor performance with relevant supply team leaders Effective order management Ensure stores provide good customer services Maintenance of effective relationships with customers and suppliers Manage via the teams, the warehousing (stores) and distribution systems, including outsourced facilities Set up agreements for materials supply and distribution Work Output Title: Development of a commercial framework to achieve a long term goals Develop strategies and plans to optimize the potential of the Regional Supply Management process, in conjunction with the Group Supply Manager Determine policies and guidelines for order releasing, inbound and outbound distribution as well as materials control: - Determine policy development needs - Develop necessary policy guidelines after consultation with GSM - Obtain approval and implement - Implement a system to monitor relevance to and compliance with policy guidelines Regularly assess strategies to changing stakeholder demands and redirect efforts as necessary Ensure that Regional objectives are aligned with the group supply management strategic and business plan Monitor business best practices internally and externally and motivate the implementation of appropriate practices Motivate and encourage ownership in the Organization initiatives for improvements Asses the appropriateness of and efficiencies that can be achieved through the establishment of contracts and new working practices Initiate and monitor improvement projects that will increase profits or protect against risks Develop a supply infrastructure of transportation, warehousing and

3 outsourced services that optimize cost of the service quality level required for regional operations Ensure store are set up to ensure optimal efficiencies Goods distribution and related transportation Alignment of stock levels to regional requirement and fit to group objectives.
