2 Overall Risk Rating Substantial Substantial Implementation Status and Key Decisions The Indonesia Statistical Capacity Building-Change and Reform for the Development of Statistics (STATCAP-CERDAS) project continues to make steady progress since project restructuring in May Implementation activities under all project components are now underway, i.e. the main technical implementation activities to support: A. the Improved Statistical Quality component; B. the Improved ICT Platform and Statistical Information Management Systems component; C. the Improved HR Management and Development component; and D. Improve Organizational Alignment component. There was critical delay encountered in the implementation timeline due to insufficient number of qualified EOIs received under the first request for expressions of interest (REOI) launched for the final consultancy package for the Statistical Applications Development. After a second round of REOI, the Request for Proposals was issued in August and proposals have been evaluated. The BPS management has put in place urgent measures to focus on project implementation with the appointment of task forces comprising 50 persons with detailed workplan and measurable outputs. With these measures in place and more regular reviews on implementation progress, the BPS and the World Bank task team are collaborating closely to ensure that the development objective is achieved by end of project timeline.
