Throughout the project the team will ensure that you are kept informed with progress and answer any queries. In the unlikely event of any issues occurring between the client and APSE, the in-house team will be able to efficiently deal with any issues.

Skills will be transferred to the team through the experience of doing and this will be key in the teams learning. Diagnostic workshops are another way in which the team will ensure officers are involved and have the opportunity to shape the project.

9 how has APSE Solutions helped in the past? problem... Due to cuts, we have calculated we need to reduce expenditure next year by 8.9% across all services......apse solution...apse can identify areas for cash-releasing efficiency savings in the short to medium term, these savings are readily identifiable and produce quick wins. APSE can make recommendations to address further areas where substantial savings can be identified. APSE can develop detailed proposals to assist the council in preparing evidence based business cases to address issues....and the outcome... APSE identified savings of 1.87 million (5.2%) in the short term and long term savings of 9.63 million (21.3%) across the Council s frontline services.

10 problem... We have decided to retain our housing stock and embark on an ambitious 85 million, 3 year capital programme, to meet housing quality standards. We are keen to ensure we secure maximum value for money from a major programme of investment in these properties......what was achieved?...apse solution...apse can assess value for money of any current arrangements and propose recommendations to optimise future value for money from the service. APSE will specifically focus on 3 key areas of local concern, namely planned/reactive repairs ratio, deferred cyclical schemes and sold properties. APSE will also use a lean thinking approach to carry out a service review, beginning with a diagnostic workshop of key players within the service. Along with this, APSE will carry out face to face interviews, use benchmarking data and engage with tenant and trade union representatives from all levels. This will be vital to the success of the project. Savings of 950,000 per annum, clear evidence-based assessment of current value for money. Actions were agreed to bring the service up to national best practice level and a feasible proposal to address 3 key areas of local concern on a short, medium and long term basis were produced.
