1 Assistant Accountant Application Pack Closing date: 2nd June 2017

2 WELCOME Dear Candidate, We are at an incredibly exciting time in Urban Saints; launching new vision and strategy to reach the 95% of young people outside of church. Urban Saints DNA lies within the 111-year-old, Crusader model of volunteer leaders gathering young people into groups and then loving, discipling and launching them into the world to make a difference for Christ. Currently we serve 1500 groups across the UK and Ireland and long to see many more young people engage with the Gospel through our network of exciting weekly groups, holiday camps and overseas discipleship missions. Today more than ever, young people are desperate for community, belonging and real rather than virtual adventure and, whether they know it or not, young people also crave the purpose and love that only Jesus can fulfil. Urban Saints is intentionally positioning itself to meet this need and will embark on the difficult challenge of expanding our network and planting new groups inside and outside of church. None of this would be possible without effective and robust operations across the organisation. If you are ready for the challenge of joining our Team we would be delighted to receive your application. God bless, Richard Langmead CEO Page 2

PLANTING GROUPS DEVELOPING ENERGIZE GROWING OVERSEAS DISCIPLESHIP TRIPS BUILDING IDENTITY We believe that children and young people meeting in weekly groups and being together on camps is a powerful way to change lives and disciple young people. We want every young person in the UK and Ireland to have the opportunity to get involved with quality Christian groups especially the 95% that would never go to a church. We will plant new volunteerled groups across the UK and Ireland, inside and outside of the Church; supported by great camps, great leaders, great resources. We believe that Energize should be a first-class online resource for the delivery of excellent Christian youth and children s work in the UK, Ireland and beyond. We will resource leaders by develoiping materials to use in churches, schools and outreach groups, whatever the faith level of the young people. urbansaints.org/energize For over 2000 years, pilgrimage has been a powerful part of a Christian s development. Every young person deserves the opportunity to take part in an overseas discipleship trip and we will focus on facilitating this and removing the barriers to participation. We will grow overseas discipleship trips, integrating these handin-glove with groups and schools work. urbansaints.org/build We believe Urban Saints should be a place of belonging for young people and leaders possessing a clear, shared identity, passionate about Jesus and the Urban Saints movement.
