2 CAREER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION PROFILE The successful candidate will contribute to a diversity of land development planning projects within Calgary and the greater Calgary region for a wide range of private-sector clients. The position provides a unique opportunity to implement varied and broad urban planning, design, and stakeholder engagement tactics to successfully realize a broad range of client goals and development outcomes. The successful candidate will work alongside a diverse team of planning professionals with over 50 years of combined experience in the urban planning and design field. The position will involve extensive collaboration with clients, external strategic partners, project stakeholders, the public, and regulatory/approving authorities. The successful candidate will find themselves at home among a team that is dedicated, innovative, and solution-focused. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Collaboration with members of the team on a broad range of site-based, local area, and master planning projects. Preparation of project deliverables, feasibility studies, planning memorandums, briefs, and comprehensive reports. Preparation of concise and effective planning graphics, diagrams, maps, and illustrations. Design and development of presentation materials for various stakeholders and decision-making bodies. Preparation of various communications, stakeholder engagement materials, and collateral. Participation in various stakeholder engagement events. Policy research and development.
