2 Claims/issues (LGNSW) Affordable pay increases. Clarify the availability of performance based progression. Cap the number of paid days absences due to bushfire or other climatic conditions. Clarify that leaseback vehicle arrangements may be terminated immediately where an employee is demoted.

3 Claims/issues (LGNSW) Expand the availability of ordinary hours of work on weekends (e.g. road construction and maintenance). Introduce a new Hours of Work Flexibility Agreements provision i.e. an agreed payment in lieu of overtime and shift penalties. Clarify that the casual loading is inclusive of long service leave.

4 Claims/issues (LGNSW) Clarify the role and function of consultative committees. Provide for the availability of fixed term contracts for seasonal workers and when replacing dismissed injured workers. Introduce a mechanism for terminating expired council agreements.

Amend the award to provide that employees are not entitled to travelling allowance if the distance to the alternate work site is less than the distance to the employees normal starting point.

Clarify that the cap on increases to leaseback vehicle fees doesn t apply to increases that are a direct result of legislative change. Introduce a new award new mechanism for directing employees to take unused time in lieu. Clarify councils ability to direct employees to take LSL.

Clarify the entitlement to sewer chokes allowance. Introduce a new award requirement for councils to support the training and accreditation of chartered professional engineers.

9 Claims/issues (unions) Provide that councils may grant additional sick leave to an employee with at least 5 years service (currently the award says 10 years ). Introduce a new entitlement to paid emergency services leave. Clarify the role and function of consultative committees.

10 Claims/issues (unions) Clarify the availability of fixed term contracts to accommodate flexible work and leave arrangements. Remove the requirement for LSL to be in minimum periods of one week. Include a flexibility for work and family responsibilities encouragement clause.

Introduce a new health and wellbeing clause, with up to 5 days leave from sick leave. Increase the award entitlement to paid adoption leave. Require consultation in relation to workplace change before a definite decision is made.

12 Claims/issues (unions) Introduce a new remote response allowance for oncall employees. Require the payment of travelling allowance in both directions, to and from the alternate place of work.
