3 Message from the Co-Presidents These descriptions are based on the direction that we ve envisioned for the club, so that you have a good sense of the required commitment. However, we are open to suggestions for changes to these roles based on your own interests and passions, and will support you as you lead the initiatives. 4 WSIC Priorities Mission: Strengthen social impact offerings at Wharton by building community and enriching the mix of educational and professional events/resources Community Professional Learning Vision Strengthen community at Wharton and beyond Support members in their job search by providing more resources Increase diversity of educational opportunities Activities Mentorship pods organised around impact areas Small group dinners/happy hours organized around industry Introduce avenues for alumni engagement Organize career treks to DC, NY & SF (with potential to add cities) Work with employers to organise exclusive events Maintain interview question database and think up / roll out other recruiting resources Collaborate with other clubs to deliver events across a range of industries (e.g. education, int l development, impact investing, etc.) Deliver a memorable Social Impact Week to inspire and educate students Leverage resources and networks from other Penn schools and departments (e.g. GSE, Public Policy, etc.) 4

8 1Y Leadership Positions (1/3) DIRECTOR, CONTENT DIRECTOR, CAREERS In a nutshell you will be in charge of organizing content for the club s speaker events and Social Impact Week In a nutshell you will be responsible for all things jobs related for the club! Specific responsibilities: Coordinate with outside organizations, Wharton initiatives, and other WGA clubs to secure speakers Connect leaders and experts in social impact to the WSIC community Work with VP Content to organize speaker events Collaborate with SI Week Chair to organize programming, secure co-sponsorship and conduct marketing The really exciting part is you get to shape the topics discussed at our biggest events! Specific responsibilities: Organize career treks to SF, DC, NYC, and/or other cities Work closely with MBACM to conduct information sessions and circulate important information to the club Manage career-related shared resources (e.g. interview question database, industry primers, company profiles) Collaborate with the Community Team to organize and launch mentorship pods in the fall semester Provide support during enterprise recruiting season (e.g. arrange weekly recruiting work sessions) The really exciting part is you are playing a crucial role in helping members figure out careers within social impact 8

9 1Y Leadership Positions (2/3) DIRECTOR, COMMUNITY In a nutshell you will be in charge of creating a sense of community within the club and across the Wharton social impact community at large Specific responsibilities: Plan kick-off and year-end club-wide signature events Create a strong community within the club through quarterly club-wide events, happy hours and small group dinners Collaborate with the Careers team to organize and launch mentorship pods in the fall semester Foster collaboration among board members DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS In a nutshell you will be in charge of getting out the word about WSIC! Specific responsibilities: Manage the WSIC website and Facebook site Ensure that the newsletter is sent out weekly Create and maintain member and alumni databases, and think of ways to engage alumni Manage welcome weekend events The really exciting part is this is your chance to get creative and strengthen WSIC s brand! The really exciting part is you can make what you want! 9

10 1Y Leadership Positions (3/3) TREASURER In a nutshell you will be in charge of the club budget and reimbursements. Specific responsibilities: Report on club s financial status at the end of each month Process all reimbursements Engage in financial planning for the club throughout the year and set budget for the following year The really exciting part is you know where all the WSIC money goes and can be sure to get the most out of your club dues! 10
