Our visin is t create One Sprt with well-supprted, seamlessly cnnected cmpetitins, prgrams and events delivering athletic activities t all Australians. Athletics Australia s peratins are underpinned by ur rganisatinal values f inclusin, integrity, innvatin and excellence. There are 5 key bjectives within the AA Strategic Plan. These are: High Perfrmance - Create an envirnment fr ur HP athletes and caches t achieve internatinal success Participatin - Build n ur cnnectin with Australian sprt s largest participatin base Sprt Delivery - Deliver high quality, exciting and relevant cmpetitins and events Cmmercial - Develp and deliver cmmercial value t grw the sprt One Sprt - Lead and deliver a seamless experience fr ur athletics cmmunity Under the Participatin pillar, the fllwing key initiatives have been identified: Build a mre meaningful cnnectin with the recreatinal running cmmunity Evlve ur cach educatin and develpment framewrk Influence the delivery f a psitive athletics experience in schls, fr students and teachers Lead the develpment f new team-based athletics prducts Ensure the athletics experience is inclusive f all Australians

2 Diversity and Inclusin Manager Psitin Descriptin Rle Summary The Inclusin Manager has verall respnsibility fr the crdinatin and management f several key Athletics Australia participatin and inclusin prgrams. The Inclusin Manager is respnsible fr the crdinatin f the Athletics fr the Outback Prgram (including the delivery f the Raise the Bar prgram); the crdinatin f para-athlete classificatin; the implementatin f the Athletics Inclusin Framewrk; and AA s participatin in initiatives such as the Pride in Sprt Index. This psitin will require interstate travel and wrk n weekend and utside f business hurs frm time t time. Key Stakehlder Relatinships T fulfil the respnsibilities, the psitin will need t develp and maintain effective relatinships with a range f internal and external stakehlders including: Internal AA staff acrss varius departments including participatin, cmpliance and legal, high perfrmance, cmpetitins, and finance External AA Member Assciatin Staff Australian Sprts Cmmissin (ASC) Gvernment Department/Agency representatives including Department f Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) University Partners Australian Paralympic Cmmittee (APC) Little Athletics Australia and its member assciatins Schls Athletes / prgram participants Parents/guardians f prgram participants Indigenus Marathn Fundatin (IMF) Recreatinal running rganisatins Suppliers, cntractrs and service prviders, including AA accredited caches Rle Outcmes T be the natinal lead within AA n equality, diversity and inclusin issues with respnsibility fr develping and embedding the AA Inclusin Framewrk and Recnciliatin Actin Plan in cnjunctin with the AA General Manager Participatin and Cmmunity Strategy and ther key stakehlders Advise, supprt and wrk cllabratively with AA Staff and Member Assciatins n prjects acrss athletics t increase participatin f all parts f the cmmunity Prvide end t end prject delivery supprt t the Athletics fr the Outback (AFTO) Prgram and Raise the Bar Academy Develp resurces and case studies t prmte inclusive best practice in athletics Increase the number f para sprt pprtunities fr athletes, caches and fficials by driving a cllabrative apprach with Member Assciatins and para-sprt stakehlders

3 Diversity and Inclusin Manager Psitin Descriptin Key Respnsibilities The fllwing key respnsibilities and assciated activities make up the Inclusin Manager rle: Athletics fr the Outback (AFTO) Prgram Assume respnsibility fr the crdinatin f all AFTO prgrams and activities Wrk cllabratively with the AA Member Assciatins and ther partners t deliver the agreed activities assciated with the AFTO prgram Track AFTO deliverables, including participatin numbers against AA and DPMC bjectives and prgram key perfrmance indicatrs Manage the AFTO prgram budget Prvide peridic reprting n the prgress f the AFTO prgram t the General Manager Participatin and Cmmunity Strategy Prduce the required AFTO reprts fr submissin t DPMC t meet deadlines Develp and maintain psitive relatinships with lcal cmmunities, agencies, cntractrs, participants, vlunteers, and ther prgram partners t ensure the effective and efficient delivery f the AFTO prgram Raise the Bar Academy Crdinate all aspects f the annual Raise the Bar Academy prgram, including: Leading the applicatin and selectin prcess f the Academy in cnjunctin with Melburne University Crdinating all prmtinal activities assciated with the Academy applicatins prcess and Academy activities Acting as a key pint f cntact fr participants, parents/guardians, cmmunity representatives Wrk clsely with ther Athletics Australia and Melburne University staff t rganise presenters, venues, travel arrangements, accmmdatin, and lgistical elements f the Academy prgram Crdinate the Raise the Bar Academy celebratin dinner Manage the Academy budget Inclusin Framewrk and Recnciliatin Actin Plan (RAP) Cntribute t the develpment and nging refinement f AA s athletics Inclusin Framewrk, including resurces fr AA Members Assciatins, clubs and individuals Lead the implementatin f the Inclusin Framewrk, including the develpment, distributin and educative prcesses assciated with its rllut Wrk t imprve inclusive practices within Athletics Australia Member Assciatins and clubs In cnjunctin with the AA Executive, mnitr the implementatin f AA s RAP Assist in the prductin f reprts t the Bard and Executive regarding prgress against the RAP Para Athletics Supprt the Athletics Australia netwrk t imprve the pathways fr para-athletes t access the sprt f athletics in Australia Oversee the delivery f para athlete natinal classificatin in cnjunctin with the AA Members Assciatins

4 Diversity and Inclusin Manager Psitin Descriptin Ensure systems and appraches are in place t make the jurney fr Para-Athletes frm participatin t cmpetitin a smth and psitive experience Build and maintain effective relatinship with key para sprt stakehlders including the APC, the ASC, State/Territry Sprt and Recreatin Departments, Schl Sprt Australia, Little Athletics, and ther relevant rganisatins Liaise with AA s High Perfrmance Para Athletics staff Prvide assistance t the Caching Develpment Manager t ensure the delivery f apprpriate para-athletic cach develpment and cach educatin prgrams/curses Liaise with relevant APC and AA Member Assciatin staff t manage and crdinate natinal classificatin pprtunities Prvide advice t the AA Cmpetitins Department t ensure the meaningful and apprpriate delivery f para-athletic events and/r cmpetitins Address nn-high Perfrmance related general para-athletic enquiries Wrk with the APC and Paralympic Preparatin Prgram (PPP) staff t strengthen pathways fr prspective athletes General Maintain cntemprary knwledge f scial issues impacting sprt participatin Champin the cause fr mre inclusive practices in Australian athletics t enhance participatin Organise any prfessinal develpment f AA s staff relating t diversity and inclusin Ensure cmpliance (fr self and thers) with all apprpriate AA s Ethics and integrity plicies and best practice. Wrkplace Health and Safety These respnsibilities shuld be read in cnjunctin with Athletics Australia s Wrkplace Health and Safety plicy and prcedures.
