2 It s truly been one of the best experiences Alex C INTRODUCTION Our resort team forms an integral part of making sure our ski trips are a success, and as the face of the company in resort they are a vital part of the Wasteland team. With this in mind, Wasteland HQ are looking for hard-working, diligent, passionate and energetic snowsports fanatics to join our vibrant team and work with us in resort this season. Here s an idea of what we re looking for and what this awesome job entails, how you get involved and what s expected of you once you make it. 4 PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES Organising departures in the UK and loading the coaches, plus supervising the coach out to resort. Alternatively, you may help with preparation in resort including organising arrival packs and room keys, and liaising with resort suppliers. SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED winter winter Pre-trip communication with the group. Arrivals - Distribution of keys and lift passes, liaising with Pre-Fit to assist with hire collection. Friendly & Outgoing Character Competent Skier / Snowboarder Resort Knowledge Taking clients to their first lessons and on resort orientation. Liaising with groups on social activities and supervising resort events. Night duties to ensure the safety of all clients in the evening. Nightly room rounds using our bespoke room round system and app to ensure all guests are fully informed. A Team Player Confident & Energetic Organised, Punctual & Hardworking Working at one of our alpine events from RISE festival, EUSSC or The UBSC Trip to Above & Below Festival Assisting at inresort events both on and off piste. Being on hand throughout the entire week to assist clients and answer any questions using our Wasteland app. Problem Solving Highly Motivated Knowledge of French preferable but not essential Competency at Public Speaking Responsibility and Respectability Running departures from resort and making sure everyone gets back to the UK safely. Escorting clients back to the UK on the coach. Ability to maintain an appropriate work and social balance 05 WASTELAND SKI WASTELAND SKI 06

5 HOW TO APPLY This is the breakdown of the 8 key steps to becoming a bit of a legend. There s more to it than just being told you re one by your mates! Step 1 Finish reading this document and then complete the online application form. Step 2 Applications will be assessed by the head office recruitment team over the summer. Step 3 You will be informed via of the outcome of your application Step 4 You will receive an invite to attend our epic Training & Selection Weekend 2018 TRAINING & SELECTION Our training weekend is also a selection process and only the best applicants will be placed in resort. Successful reps will be informed by the end of October and from there they are offered work. If you re successful you will hear from us by September with the details of our training and selection weekend. Attendance at the training weekend is compulsory if you want to rep for us this season. There is a fee to attend, half of which is covered by us at Wasteland Ski, the other half is to be covered by you: this includes 2 nights accommodation, food, transport, t-shirt, Rep Bible, tons of information to become the best Wasteland Representative yet. a guaranteed good time and a great bunch of new mates. That s not to say your current mates are rubbish of course, we just know you ll make loads more! Step 5 Attend our epic Training & Selection Weekend Step 6 Head office will assess all attendees and you will be informed if you are successful.
