2 (1) - JOB DESCRIPTION FOR OFFICER COMPLIANCE JOB TITLE: Officer Compliance - Integrity DEPARTMENT Internal Audit & DIVISION Compliance Compliance STATION Nakawa HQ JOB CODE HRM/052/600 POSITION TYPE: Permanent REPORTS TO Supervisor Compliance - Integrity NO.OF DIRECT REPORTS None JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE: Implement the staff compliance function and monitor adherence to the URA operational standards, policies and practices to enhance staff compliance. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Conduct compliance policy reviews for URA user departments to identify risks and make recommendations for improvement in compliance. 2. Follow up on query management activities as performed by compliance officers on a monthly basis to facilitate timely and accurate closure or conclusion of queries Monitor query updates made by the action owners in the electronic audit system for appropriateness to enable conclusion 3. Conduct Integrity and Code of Conduct sensitizations across the organization to enhance adherence and promotion of compliance. Prepare presentation materials for use during the sensitizations including power point presentations, brochures and other stationary etc. Draft communications for integrity sensitizations with the scheduled URA stations Sensitize staff on the code of conduct and integrity requirements Draft a report on the concerns that arise out of the sensitization engagements and submit to the line supervisor for further management. 4. Conduct stakeholder engagement to enhance stakeholder relations for future collaboration. EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Experience A minimum of 3 years experience in compliance management related function, in a reputable organization. Knowledge Understanding of Tax Laws, Leadership Codes, Police Act, the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda and Labor Laws. Knowledge of policy formulation and reviews. 5 (2) - JOB DESCRIPTION FOR OFFICER INVESTIGATIONS JOB TITLE: Officer Compliance - Investigations DEPARTMENT: Internal Audit & DIVISION Compliance Compliance STATION: Nakawa HQ JOB CODE: HRM/052/601 POSITION TYPE: Permanent REPORTS TO: Supervisor Compliance - Investigations NO.OF DIRECT REPORTS None JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE: Execute investigations through obtaining, maintaining and communicating evidence obtained through reports to facilitate further management of cases and enhance compliance in the organization. PRINCIPAL SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Execute an investigation and provide recommendations to the line manager on how to manage the case(s) under investigation. Obtain and study an investigation case memo to extract a brief and develop an Investigation Plan to guide the discussion with the line supervisor Solicit instruction on how to proceed with the case under investigation and develop an investigation plan and budget Discuss and review the investigation plan with the supervisor and make amendments as advised/ recommended Identify persons to interview to gather evidence, and record statements. 5 URA External Advert - November, 2016

6 2. Maintain and avail sufficient evidence to courts of law to facilitate successful prosecution of cases before court. 3. Open files and prepare briefs on all the reported/initiated cases to maintain a synchronized record of the cases in progress. 4. Organize for stakeholder engagements with internal and external stakeholders to enhance working relationships. Develop a summary investigations report and submit to the line manager for review and make amendments in line with comments/ corrections and improvements Gather, analyze credible evidence and mobilize exhibits and witnesses to support the case before court Secure search and arrest warrants from court to facilitate operations Submit the exhibits to experts such as hand writing experts for analysis, comparison and follow up feedback Follow up and report on the cases in court and their related judgments and make recommendations to management for further action Reconcile and update the case records maintained Open the case files in line with instructions from the supervisor Analyze the facts of the reported cases and sort the document/facts of the given case, consult on the facts of the reported cases for further clarity while documenting every step in the process File documents, index and reference the files in line with filing standards Prepare briefs on the cases reported or initiated and seek approvals for closure or feedback for further action Initiate communication with stakeholders to invite them for the scheduled engagements and confirm attendance of the participants invited Prepare the logistics for the engagement such as booking the venue and other requirements 6 URA External Advert - November, 2016

Desirable Specialized training in Client Relationship Management. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Experience A minimum of 2 years experience in a Client Relationship Management environment in a Reputable Organization.
