To ensure ongoing provision, development and maintenance of the Company s core network infrastructure, business systems and telephony. To proactively engage with external agencies, partners, suppliers and customers to further the profile of the Company. To effectively contribute to the overall management and policy framework of the Company in support of corporate objectives. Main Duties and Key Result Areas: To have a comprehensive understanding of the Company s strategic objectives and develop appropriate ICT strategies to meet the needs of all service areas. To regularly review and update the Company s overall ICT strategy ensuring that it continues to reflect changes in the Company s objectives, legislation, and the external technological environment. To effectively and efficiently project manage the development and implementation of the Company s ICT strategy and provide support for wider corporate strategies such as a digital inclusion. 2 To maintain the on-going provision and continued improvement of day to day operational technology, systems and telecommunications services ensuring that the service is efficient, reliable and cost effective. To plan, agree and effectively monitor ICT budgets ensuring that spending is appropriate and is within the agreed limits To engage and manage relationships with external agencies, partners and suppliers. With the support of the Procurement Manager to procure materials and services that ensure the company receives best value for money. For high value purchases this will require the preparation of tender documentation. To proactively identify risks and ensure that any that are ICT related or that will impact on the ICT service provision are effectively managed and appropriate actions are taken to protect the Company s operations by providing a suitable internally controlled environment, including disaster recovery and business continuity. Working with other Service managers to proactively research and source new technologies which will provide opportunities to best meet changing business needs e.g business expansion, mobile technologies and home working. To maintain and develop good working relationships with both internal and external customers providing excellence in service delivery To ensure that staff are recruited, trained, managed, appraised and developed in accordance with the company s policies.
