Interacts with outside law enforcement agencies when required. Coordinates the distribution of video to law enforcement agencies. Tracks and identifies crime trends relative to CTA. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Obtains reviews and preserves video evidence of crimes and incidents occurring on CTA property. Serves as liaison between the CTA and law enforcement agencies. Tracks and reports crime statistical data to the Federal Transit Administration (NTD Database). Attends court to follow-up on arrests made, to provide video and assist witnesses. Coordinates various task forces with local police agencies to perform surveillance in support of protecting CTA property, employees and passengers. Gathers, correlates and organizes facts/evidence to develop probable cause to present cases before the States Attorney s Office to that aids in the prosecution of CTA offenders. Provides CTA crime statistics and crime patterns to local law enforcement agencies for the proper deployment of their resources to address security concerns. Utilizes the Chicago Police Department s I-Clear database to obtain relevant crime data. Responds to the scene of CTA security related emergencies or major incidents to assist law enforcement agencies with mitigating the scene in order to expedite the restoration of service. Responds to incidents in accordance with the principles set forth in the National Incident Management System. Coordinates educational opportunities to ensure that outside agencies have a familiarity with CTA infrastructure and equipment for unforeseen situations or

2 emergencies arising in the future. Participates in training programs, seminars and meetings to heighten investigative expertise. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor degree in law enforcement or a related field, or a combination of training and experience within law enforcement. Three or more years of investigative experience. May be on call 24 hrs a day, seven days a week. Must have the skills to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must have adequate computer literacy to operate a computer and assigned software. Must be familiar with CCTV. Must have valid Driver s License. Comprehensive knowledge of investigative techniques. Maintains quality product for our customers in the areas of terminal platforms, on terminal routes and campaign activities. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Conducts random audits of platform activities at terminal locations across several routes to ensure adherence to schedule, production and quality. Visually surveys rail cars in yard and line of road to determine if vehicle can remain in service until next cyclical appointment. If assessment is negative schedules vehicle for call in to shop. Coordinates platform, campaign and single shop activities of car servicers, apprentices and leaders to meet quality and production standards. Conduct disciplinary interviews and investigations regarding attendance and work performance to administer corrective action guidelines. Prepares reports on work shift production and quality in order to provide Manager II with current state of the fleet information. Reviews work reports of car servicers and apprentices to determine adherence to instructions. Reviews technical, training and safety bulletins to keep staff informed of procedures. Works in lieu of Manager, Maintenance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience Requirements: High school degree required. Minimum of two years experience as a Car Servicer or other applicable vehicle or facility maintenance experience is

6 required, or relevant military experience. Previous experience as a Car Servicer Leader, Clerk or Instructor is desirable. Must have approximately 5 years experience in a position that would familiarize one with the appropriate cleaning methods, procedures and materials. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Experience with collective bargaining agreements and with union contract provisions governing Car servicers, preferred. Must possess good customer service skills. Team player, reliable, dependable, able to multi-task and work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint preferred.
