The Group includes HKEx, the company that operates Hong Kong s securities and derivatives markets and is the frontline regulator of companies listed in Hong Kong. In addition, HKEx provides clearing and settlement services through its four clearing houses. The Group also owns the London Metal Exchange, the world s premier base metals futures and options market, and is an equal joint-venture partner with the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges in China Exchanges Services Company, which develops cross-border indices based on products traded on the three markets. The 28-month Programme is an intensive development programme combining interactive learning, personal and group coaching and senior management exposure with on-the-job training. As a result, Trainees develop a spectrum of experience, an open mind and a broad understanding of different aspects of HKEx's business and management. The Programme kicks off in September with two months of orientation and professional / technical skills training, followed by two rotational postings with different divisions of HKEx, which allow Trainees enough time to become familiar with the work of their division, interact with other divisions, contribute to the growth of the business and, importantly, get a real feel for life at HKEx. Throughout the Programme, a Management Trainee Manager and staff from each division will provide guidance and coaching to Trainees to facilitate their learning. By the end of the 28-month Programme, HKEx will work with each Trainee to align their strengths and career aspirations with the strategic direction of HKEx and identify the best suitable position in the organisation for a full-time role.
