9 Maintaining a Healthy Posture at Your Work Station HEAD upright with ears aligned at shoulders EYES looking at top third of the screen SHOULDERS relaxed as opposed to hunched ELBOWS - above desk at degrees HIPS, KNEES, ANKLES at 90 degrees while seated INSTRUCTOR S NOTES: Adjust your work station to accommodate proper posture WRISTS in line with forearms BACKREST Angled at degrees with adequate lumbar support in line with lower back SEAT LENGTH should be long enough to provide support beneath the thighs KEYBOARD & MOUSE G and H of your keyboard should be aligned with your nose. Mouse gripped loosely. LAPTOP used with a riser, external keyboard and external mouse FEET flat on ground or footrest

10 Maintaining a Healthy & Safe Work Station INSTRUCTOR S NOTES: Reduce health and safety issues at work by eliminating tripping hazards, fire hazards, germs, etc.

11 INSTRUCTOR S NOTES: A Safety Checklist for KDM Employees is available on the KDM Website under Resources, then OSHA Training. ALL EMPLOYEES are responsible for being aware of any hazards in the workplace. ALL EMPLOYEES are responsible for immediately reporting any hazards to their supervisor. ALL PROPERTY MANAGERS are responsible for being aware of any hazards in the workplace via employee reporting or through self-inspection. ALL PROPERTY MANAGERS are responsible for immediately correcting any hazards within their abilities, or finding a professional to make the correction; and for reporting to Charlie or Michelle Lenhart.

12 INSTRUCTOR S NOTES: All employees are required to have a copy of KDM s Fleet Policy and should have returned the Signature Page to Tina Cypret. All employees are required to have a current, valid drivers license. All employees are required to complete, sign and return a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Release. Company vehicles are not to be used for personal use. All drivers are required to have a current and valid drivers license appropriate for the vehicle being driven. All new and current employees that are expected to drive company vehicles are required to sign a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Release form to be used to obtain driving records and can be used in evaluation of insurance underwriting. All employees should have a copy of KDM s Fleet Policy and should have returned the signature page to Human Resources (Tina Cypret). State laws are expected to be followed and company vehicles are not to be used for personal use.

13 Whenever There Is Exposure To Hazardous Conditions, Protective Equipment MUST Be Worn. KDM authorizes Property Managers to purchase the following to supply to Employees: INSTRUCTOR S NOTES: PPE must be warn whenever there is exposure to hazardous conditions. KDM will supply work gloves, rubber gloves, protective goggles, ear plugs, and breathing masks. Employees will supply their own work boots and any specialty items such as prescription eyewear and welder masks. Work Gloves and Rubber Gloves Protective Goggles Ear Plugs Breathing Masks KDM Employees are responsible for: Work Boots Any specialty products such as prescription eyewear and welders masks Employees not in compliance can be suspended from work for the day without pay.
