Ridgeway International USA provides expert transportation logistics services of class 1 explosives, armaments, ammunition, military equipment and dangerous goods for the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense commercial sector, and civilian commercial explosives sector. Full compliance with US laws, regulations, and requirements is essential and we draw on the Ridgeway Group of Companies expertise in operational, regulatory, and contractual aspects of international shipping, and its broad contacts worldwide. Ridgeway is an active member of the National Defense Transport Association, which provides a bridge between the Military and the international transport community, an approach that Ridgeway endorses. Ridgeway keeps abreast of enhancements and evolutions in US regulations administered by many government departments and agencies, such as the Department of Transportation, the Department of Treasury, Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration and Customs and Border Protection and others, and has undertaken the role of informing members of the Ridgeway Group outside of the US of ongoing changes in US regulations.

4 RIDGEWAY INTERNATIONAL LTD Ridgeway International Ltd was founded in 1976 by three ex British Army officers, two of whom are still on the Board. Based in Wallingford, we are close to the Ridgeway National Trail, an 87 mile pre Roman route through rolling open downland, from which we derived our name. We have built up considerable experience over the last 40 years which has resulted in the creation of long-term relationships with a world wide portfolio of clients in government and commerce. A strong tradition of close liaison with all parties, hands on management and attention to detail is the basis of the company s dominant market position. We specialise in the safe and legal movement, storage and insurance of explosives, ammunition, missiles, security classified hardware, restricted weapons and associated ordnance material within the UK and world wide. Ridgeway works with a large number of the world s major defence and aerospace companies and also directly for many governments and governmental agencies. This includes long term contracts with the Australian and New Zealand Governments for the freight forwarding and carriage of their European, North American and Far East ordnance purchases.

5 RIDGEWAY INTERNATIONAL CANADA INC. Ridgeway International Canada Inc is a joint venture between Ridgeway International and a Canadian forwarding firm, whose activities stretch back over 90 years. The Canadian firm was the shipping agent for the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration following World War II, and handled many large relief movements from Canada to Europe and Asia, which were important in the reconstruction of ravaged areas. In the same post-war period the firm served as the first office location of the International Air Transport Association, before IATA moved to permanent quarters. The Montreal office has in recent years become an active player in the military and defence industry logistics market. Activities include movements of explosives, ship chartering of large Roll On Roll Off (RoRo) vessels, project movements of heavy equipment, and a huge variety of complex international container and airfreight movements to and from North America.

6 RIDGEWAY INTERNATIONAL AUSTRALIA LTD Ridgeway International Australia Limited (RIAL) was formed in Sydney in The company was formed in order to assist with the regular Europe > USA > New Zealand > Australia charter sailings managed by Ridgeway International Ltd. The objective of the charter sailings was to collect ammunition and explosives cargoes purchased by the Governments of Australia and New Zealand in Europe and North America. In time these sailings attracted other Government and commercial shippers of ammunition and explosives cargoes along the same route. When the Ridgeway International charter vessels arrive in New Zealand and Australian military ports, RIAL arranges import customs clearance and discharge from the vessel before dispatching the cargoes to their respective destinations by legally compliant and secure road transport. RIAL was also formed to develop the market in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia for the international forwarding, storage and handling of explosives and ammunition and security classified materials. Since 1990 RIAL has acquired extensive experience of the movement of components for large multinational defence projects.
