5 Product Status Flag (PSF) The PSF is located in a dedicated part of the UCODE 7 memory It describes the status of a product. Has this jean been sold and paid (Yes/No?). The PSF can be password protected from unauthorized modifications. The PSF may be checked at the exit using overhead antennas as used e.g. in Gerry Weber stores. The advantage of PSF is the possibility to check the status of a product fast and offline - Call for replenishment 5.

6 Automatic self pre-serialization and parallel encoding a) All items in a box belonging to the same Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) get the same SKU number encoded, using one single write command (parallel encoding). b) The required unique serial number is automatically derived from the NXP TID. No programing action is required for serialization. 8 Target Use Cases for UCODE 7m Re - encoding of re-usable tags with 32 bit buffer memory. Standardized RFID based Electronic Article Surveilance (EAS) Storing the status of the product (e.g. Jean) in the user memory. Has it been sold and paid for? Product Lifecylce information stored in user memory (e.g. Warranty Date, Service Flags) Production Data stored in memory (set flags for the tests successfully passed) Product Authentication: Checksum generated out of TID stored in user memory.
