1 LOCATION / PURPOSE SAP CIS System Training ECC Inventory Optimization Outbound Material Transfer Environment: ECC Transaction Code(s): ME21N, VL10B, LT03, LM05, VL02N Prerequisites: Accounted-for inventory in a Hub Bin Normal Next Step(s): Inbound Material Receipt Purpose: As part of the new efforts to optimize SourceGas stock inventory, this document outlines the necessary steps for creating a Stock Transport Order to transfer inventory to a Hub or Spoke. TERMS See Inventory Terms and Definitions (External Document) PROCESS Stock Transport Order 1) From the SAP user menu, type t-code ME21N in the the Command Line and press Enter or click the button. 2) From the first dropdown, select Stock Transp Order. 05/02/2015 Outbound Material Transfer ECC Page 1 of 9

2 3) Type the Hub s name in the Supplying Plant field. Press Enter. 4) Expand the Header by clicking on the icon. 5) If the Org Data tab has not auto-filled, enter SG00 in the Purch. Org. field. In the Purch. Group field, enter the name of the nearest warehouse. Enter the Company Code in the last field. Press Enter. 6) In the Material column, enter the Material Number of the inventory you wish to transfer. 3 7) Enter the Receiving Inventory Plant name in the Plnt column. a. If you do not know the plant s name, click once in the Plnt column and then click on the button that appears. b. Select the receiving Inventory Plant by double clicking on its name. 8) In the Stor. Location column, enter the Storage Location Number of the Receiving Plant where the material is to be received (usually 1000 for Warehouse). 9) Enter the first initial and last name of the person coordinating the transport in the Requistioner column. 10) Press Enter. 11) A date will autofill in the Del/End Dat column. 05/02/2015 Outbound Material Transfer ECC Page 3 of 9

4 12) At the top of the window, click the button to check for any errors. 13) A message box will appear. Read the text and ensure there are no red flags. Click the button to dismiss. 14) Click the button to submit. c 15) A Save Document message will appear asking you to confirm. Click the button. 16) Write down the Stock Transport Order number from the message in the bottom, left corner of the window. 17) In a new window, type t-code VL02N once more in the the Command Line and press Enter or click the button. cv 05/02/2015 Outbound Material Transfer ECC Page 4 of 9

5 HELPFUL HINT! Instead of clicking on the button o to open a new window, type /n (to use the same window) or /o (to open a new window) in the command line of your current window and then the transaction code; i.e., /nvl10b. 18) Click on the button to view the Document Flow. 19) Make note of the Transfer Order number. 20) In a new window, type t-code LM01 in the the Command Line and press Enter or click the button. 21) Click on the button. 05/02/2015 Outbound Material Transfer ECC Page 5 of 9

6 22) Click on the button. 23) Enter the Transfer Order number in the field and press Enter. 24) If prompted, confirm your Source Bin by retyping the Bin number in the small field immediately to the right of the selected Bin in the Source information section. 7 25) You will see an X appear next to the Material in the Material Information section. 26) Click. 27) If you are transferring more than one Material Number, repeat Steps 23 (if required) through ) Once you ve confirmed all Source Bins and Materials, you will end up on a Destination Information window. 8 29) Once you re returned to the Pick by TO initial screen, click the button to go back one screen. 30) Click the button to post the Goods Issue. 31) Type the Outbound Delivery number in the field and then click the button. 32) Review the information and then click the button. 05/02/2015 Outbound Material Transfer ECC Page 8 of 9
